Elite Favor requirement trumps all retarded streaks/ non-streaks/ under-level/ upper-level/ mid-level/ bullshit/ non-bullshit bonuses to xp.   Angry

Nope... you just do the quest on l33t when it's so below your level that you can just zerg to end and complete. That was how it was done at that time...

You did quest once 4 level over your level for phat XP... and then when the quest was 6 level below your level ( or more ) you did it again on Elite for Favor.

At least nowadays you don't have to do a quest 10 times in a row.

You only had to do that at that time because there wasn't enough quests to level.

Because at that time the norm, once you were out of the lower harbor was to zerg Waterworks for market entrance, and then you joined the Redwillow, Gwylan, Stormcleave, Korromar, VON train.
( each done with 3/4 levels difference, so you ended in VON by LVL 5/6 )

They couldn't just let people do that, since it meant that ended farming Co6 and Southern to reach cap.

They hated the fact that we were doing quests way beyond our level, and the whiny mass hated those that could pull it out and wanted an easy button.

Thus the bravery bonus ( which is not brave at all ) and the retarded streak ( to compensate for the removal of the underlevel bonus... ). More people are able to pull the BB and the L33t streak than people were able to pull the full underlevel bonus.

But the sad part is that the stupid streak has 3 discrete level : No Streak, Hard Streak, l33t streak
and you have to keep it up, while the old underlevel bonus had 5 level : no bonus, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and could be chosen for each and every quest.

At the time we were also only running quests once. When you have a cap of 16 there was no need to hold levels or prep yourself to hit quests on certain levels because the XP was bleak. The underlevel bonus would still suit DDO more than the bravery streak because the streak causes more problems than being able to have a bonus on each individual quest. It forces you to maintain something that will also make you avoid certain quests (the normal population). If I didn't have anything to lose then it wouldn't matter what quests I did difficulty on. It was the usual ham handed way of dealing with a perceived problem when the original problem remains the same. We'll only run quests that are worth running.

Yup... and unless they nerf them in oblivion we will keep running them.
XP Nerfed VON3 has still more appeal than any quest in Eveningstar... just because it's 10 seconds off the ship and you can do it twice by the time it takes you to reach and complete any King Forest or Underdark quest once.
