True, there are down sides. Any time you have 2 barbarians in the same place, there is going to be a lot of whining and complaining from the little bitches. Fortunately, I have found a solution. Just don't heal them! The little bitches die really fast! The only sound dead barbarians make are the pleasant thuds of their corpses on what ever I am attacking.

Unfortunately, even the solution is not perfect. After a while, dead barbarians really start to stink. Yes, even worse than live barbarians stink. Eventually, I find it necessary to toss the dead barbarians onto the trash pile and reload. I usually do this once per Epic Reincarnation.

The good news is that you can buy live barbarians really cheap in Eveningstar.

I will be Epic Reincarnating again on Sunday. I have my 4200 CoVs and my Sovereign XP pot. Still looking for 2 epic level barbs, however. I am offering one copper each, price non-negotiable, limited time offer. Come on, what else are you going to do with the whiny little bitches?

Halfling barbarians?

I found carrying them around to be tedious, and scabbards for barbarians are hard to find.
They also tend to make a racket (crying hjeal me!!), so it precludes any form of stealth.  And the buggers are heavy too - particularly the 2H varieties like Horcs.

I have found a good solution.  Soul stones are light and you just whip out a Rez or two and away you go.  And they stack better as soul stones too.
Although they don't have a very high hardness rating, so they do tend to break quickly, especially on oozes and undead, so always carry spares.

This approach overcomes Germanicus's problem of smell as they are largely disposable.

On the plus side, there are plenty of slots to stick augments into.  I recommend using the augment of STFU (ball gag) and you can increase base damage by slotting other weapons in any spare orifices, er I mean slots.
So give Barbarians a try!
