Storing exploited goods

How do you guys do it? Unbound stuff is obviously easy and safe to make a alt account, but having 500 sovereign pots, and some other goodies laying around my toons leaves me a bit nervous. If someone decides to take a peek at my account.

I'm constantly TRing, my trick is to try and keep most of it on TR cache. What other tricks is there?

Because turbine has totally a code for "search for stacks of 500 sovereign pots".

Relax, dude.
If you don´t behave like a moron it should be fine.
If you stay for hours in the bank at the harbor, if you have 300 hours running on your toon, if you post in the vault....that is dangerous stuff.

Also, if you want to trade duped goods, make sure that you drag the correct pile to the trade window.  When I traded for an X card, the person making the trade gave themselves away *just a little bit* when they dragged 86 X cards instead of 1 X card to the trade window.  Roll Eyes

I'd have turned around and suggested they throw in an extra X card.  You know, cause there's a lot of diarrhea of the mouth going around and you wouldn't want to catch it.   Lips Sealed

I heard generous traders act as a vaccine.  Wink

Well they must run some search script since I got nailed in that last dupeapalooza sweep and nobody but nobody knew I was doing it and I think I spent a grand total of 2 hours duping stuff.

And no I didn't post anything on the AH/ASAH before I was caught either.

Lucky you, you have now the opportunity to quit the game and spend your money elsewhere.

Unknown hater(s) reported you out of spite because why not, so a semi-competent GM decided to check your activity. And whad'ya know, being in the wrong time and the wrong place. Just your pure luck.  Grin

I really don't think they have any search scripts Yobai, or they would have pegged so many more during Extreme Prejudice.  Back then they had resources and a bug up their arse, so they could have nailed hundreds or thousands.
I suspect the data structures are the biggest obstacles.

The more likely probability is that someone reported you while duping.  I see heaps of people who don't realise the sounds and actions you produce from repeated actions.

Although things may have changed recently, where a few peeps have been nailed quietly duping on private guild ship, so they may have some way of monitoring some things.

One of my guildies spent about 6 hours one night duping on our ship.  He was very active on guild chat asking for items he needed to dupe.  He got a couple of dragon scales off me and the next day he repaid the loan with about 1 million percent interest.  He never got caught, and he was giving away all kinds of stuff.

Im sure they finally got a bot that goes around instances with banks checking logs. Dont do anything unless off hours. Go anon so you dont show logging on/off when you DC.

More likely you got reported Yobai.

More likely you got associated with Rest.

And when Cordovan saw that, he got into a jealous rage.

You shouldn't have gone betwixt Cordovan and his boy crush.

Or some invitee to the ship saw the altar setup and ratted.  There are some rats running around Gland.  That much I know.

Pro Tip - Keep your pot timers low and stay away from the Silver Flame temples, I hear they're full of Paladins.  That and I drew a character bio of me jizzing on a Paladin's face.  I find that usually shocks the nosy nancy's enough that they don't look at my buffs before wishing they'd never saw what they just saw.  Grin

I've heard that posting stacks of 1000 on the ASAH for insane amounts is the best way to not get caught with duped goods... never tried it myself though Smiley
