Since the no-notes hotfix, I've been experiencing 1-5 minute load screens on all area entries, 5-10 second delays on opening just about every interface: inventory, shops, quest lists, social, etc., and lag in all public instances and quests.
Prior to the hotfix, lag was not an issue for me.
I was wondering if others are experiencing the same new difficulties, or if something about the hotfix messed with my particular setup.

I have also noticed some new lag on alot of basic activities like you mention.
Loading in is ok, but changing zones, opening banks, bags etc are also slightly slower and sometimes takes 10 secs with the screen frozen.
No idea what the cause is - Latency and Loss were both quite good at the times I checked.

You saying you get no lag on your Amiga? Seems legit.

Maybe they put in a new script to check everyone's inventory for dupes.

If the lag gets any worse, they're gonna have to rename themselves from Turbine to Hamsterwheel.

I notice some lags too.
My internet service slowed down recently. I thought it was because of that. But, it seems there is a also a general issue for the game then.

My cpu usage has spiked as of last update. By large amounts. DDO will now cause my cpu usage to hit 100 frequently. This happens to me standing there, without me needing to open a bank/mail box/inventory/barter UI.. It's become so bad that i ordered a new pc from my current one just overheating and shutting down.

Nope, didn't notice any change... it's as bad as ever.
Actually, I haven't got much delay in loading screens since I started using an SSD, even loading into marketplace only takes a couple of secs.
My biggest lag moments are more related to fights involving tons of mobs mixed with lots of graphical effects. I guess it's time for a new rig.

Yes. I've noticed a HUGE increase in load times. Before it was 5 seconds at the absolute most (usually 2) and now sometimes I wait 10-15 just to load in. Not even loading in anywhere that traditionally caused crashes like the desert. Just moving from the necropolis to house p last night was excruciating.
Not to mention the other random bips and bops of lag that happen just running around. I'm pretty sure it happens when they activate/deactivate their monitoring of my activities. Sucks for them that all I'm doing is questing. Gotta be a pretty boring watch

I've been running DDO off a SSD for well over two years now and have definitely noticed an increase in load times in the last few weeks.
Worse than that, my client becomes unstable and would freeze about once a day which it hardly ever did in the past.
I will note that while the latest update/hotfixes are highly suspect to me, I also do recall a Win7 update around the time when problems started happening so I can't necessarily pin the blame on the hotfixes... yet...

Have you watched your stalker's ddo stream?
His damage numbers are almost as high as a Ranger's summon.
I'm sure when he monitors you questing in real time it's anything but boring.

I always thought that rangers should have animal companions exactly like druids'.
Although I do get the damage numbers comparison between Rest's Stalker and the present ranger summons.
I don't know about you, but a man masturbating is boring for me.

If you're intentionally implying that I meant watching Jerry spy on Rest would be "anything but boring", you have misinterpreted my message.
I see now that I should have said "I'm sure when he (Jerry) monitors you (Rest) questing in real time it's anything but boring
for Jerry
".
Just for you, I'll try to crank up the verbosity a notch.
Or were you suggesting that "Rest playing DDO" == "a man masturbating" and that watching either would be boring for you? I guess it could be argued that someone playing alone for his personal pleasure is masturbatory, but Rest never gave me the idea that DDO provided any sexual fulfillment.
In either event, Jerry is a jerk, and if the new lag is a result of him whacking it while spying on Rest, he should find some other way to satisfy himself.

I believe they might have a mccarthy-esque watch list. That wouldnt surprise me much. If theyre trying to stop duping with limited resources, targeting the people they think are dupers, instead of everyone randomly, would be smart. But honestly, i would guess theres maybe a 10% possibiltly thats what it is and causing your lag.

I guess they could track me from here via my ip? There are only a few exploits I've ever used ... I suppose they could catch me for two of them.
It would suck, because they aren't looking for the exploits I'm using.
Still, it seems the more likely explanation is that the recent Windows update + recent Turbine hotfix = stupid resource leak.
