I loved the graphics of the zone and the music. The quests had a wide variety of theme's from flaming caves to sunken ships to puzzles. The xp, the loot, the fucking run back and forth to the quest, being in a separate zone, did I mention the xp, all combined to make the pack overpriced garbage.

That being said, they since made the pirate themed cove and sentinels pack, so I understand the anti-pirate attitude.

Say what you will about the PC, but...  I feel like there is far more listening and dev interaction then there was in Mournlands.  They even appear to be acting on some feedback, others apparently not, and I am far from a yes man.

Honestly, I loved 3BC... before they fucked it up by revamping it.

The tiny area with all the quests at arms reach was great.

It's a focus group. We give feedback and they either listen or put it to Lam as is and then we either see the same feedback or we don't.

If people have such a big problem with something then comment on Lam.

Personally I think the tree is interesting but I would never use it and I'm a bardboi. I have no idea if they'll ever listen to the changes I want done to bard but as long as I am playing I'll keep telling them.

No worries, they will ignore us on Lam as well, as always.

That last point is left hanging... for now.
I have my opinion about it, I have expressed it already where I was asked about it...
I have that NDA collar around the neck, you'll know my opinion when it's removed.

Uh, believing that all of its Epic loot will be btcoe.. one week "pain" running it and we are done, all significant loot aquired by running or buying it off the shard exchange, and back to tr while ignoring 3bc for the rest of the time being.

Corrupt a wish ddo style, there was actually some ok ideas in there but they had to implement it in some of the worst ways.

I think one of the developers wife ran off with some hippie bard or something I dunno.

They give barely any fucks about what the council says but they give even LESS fucks about what people on Lamannia say, So there's that.

Shit, Lama is the place to go for discovering (and practicing) exploits. And in case you don't catch any yourself, Lama forums detail all our future exploits, in the form of "Hey assholes, fix this already!"

Of course Turbine reads? those threads. Prints them out for use in the employee bathrooms? TBH I have no idea what Turbine does with Lama bug reports. Aside from designating a place on the DDO forums for people to announce the new exploits that will be arriving on live. And staying. Until Maj begs The Vault for them. Damn, once you write it out, Turbine QA process makes no sense at all.

The shared bank closing when using the daily xp stone is a fucking pain in the ass. The gather button timer is a fucking pain in the ass. It makes me wish I had used the ing dupe, Ollie crafting, and stone exploits. At least that way, I'd have earned the fucking punishment.

Kinda feeling the same way.

Unfortunately Turbine doesn't care much about that.
If we decide to get the rewards since we're already being inconvenienced by the fixes we risk a ban.
I feel its not worth the risk, for now.

Yeah, I don't think you are alone in this.  If you're gonna do the time (sort of), may as well do the crime.  Sad

In the (seemingly) worst case, the chance of a 90-day vacation vs never having to grind for hearts again (about the only "somewhat justifiable" reason I see to dupe) seems like a good bet to place.

If the new fighting style was as good as a serial killer, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I believe Turbine does care. It's just that whenever Turbine cares about something, they fuck it up so bad anyone but Turbine would call it broken. Turbine calls it "WAI."

Main risk for me is the inventory wipe.  Would be pointless to exploit just to lose more than I cheated onto the account.

Yeah, I guess it depends what's important to the individual.  Shinies I can play without, but without hearts I get stuck (at cap), and there's a good chance I'll just stop playing if I have to grind for them.

Remember back when they briefly had "Tokens of Leveling" (or whatever they were called)?  You had to find or buy one about every 4 or 5 levels before you could actually take your level, i.e. worst frigging idea ever?  Such a terrible idea that it drove new players away in droves and they eventually took them out of the game?  Well I don't see hearts any differently than those tokens.  At this point they are just an impediment put in our way so Turbine has an opportunity to sell us a way to bypass them.

When I reach 28, if my idea of 'continuing to play' is TR'ing, then I should be able to do that, period.  No fucking way am I going to sit at 28 running quests just for CoV's so I can TR.  So far I've gotten by because of the one "free" epic heart we got.  But if I hit 28 this life and still don't have the CoV's for a heart, that will probably be the final straw for me.  And the life after that, almost guaranteed I won't have the CoV's, so the clock is already kinda ticking for me.
