This may take some getting used to...

Finally ponied up and replaced my old Razer Orochi minimouse for the new 2014 Naga. the biggest difference (and the selling point for me) is that they made the buttons concave instead of convex.

Also starting to use my Nostromo a bit again. It's tough but I think getting my hands off my keyboard might extend the life of this laptop another year or two hopefully, or at least til I can afford to build a new gaming PC.

if the d-pad's on ALL of those gaming keypads weren't so abysmal i'd bought one long time ago

why is it so difficult to just use a thumbstick like every gamepad has two of?

edit:
recently bought a logitech g700s, returned it after a week, the room between the extra top left buttons and the wheel was just not enough to use if comfortably in 3 finger mode, and 2finger= whats the point of it , exchanged it for a g602, am loving that one

More or less the same. Logitech WL keyboard and mouse.

Hmm, I can use that too, I have all the tools to punch them....

Now since Azog went into Antediluvian Computing... I should answer with my IBM Module from the 50s ( it's taking dust in front of D&D 4 rules . ), but I'm too lazy to take a picture of it today... I might post it later.
Anyway this one is taken from the Net :

I have it's cousin sitting on one of my shelf at home.

Dunno if I'll keep the Naga actually. After some play testing I found the following:

It's really hard to hold on to without mashing thumb buttons.
The textured click areas make me feel like there's constantly dirt under my fingers (or sweat buildup)
I don't think I need 12 thumb buttons. I had 2 before and only felt I needed maybe 2 more.
It's really big in comparison to my old mouse
It was $80. I bought my last one for $25 and it lasted for this long (almost 5 years), while Nagas seem to be replaced often.

I'm debating taking it back and trying something else out. Worst case scenario, I get another Orochi and just deal with only 2 side buttons :p

I had the exact same complaints regarding the Naga.

I've been using a Logitech g700s for about 6months now.

I've really come to enjoy the button layout. The wireless functionality puts most people off, but when it's plugged in it's emitting data through the cable, so you have the best of both worlds.

So you want to know about an exploit?

Anybody use trackball mice? m570 looks interesting. AHK takes care of any need for extra buttons, IMO.

that pretty nice actually but a bit pricey for me. I actually returned the Naga today and picked up this instead because it on sale, but I may even return it because they had this too, and cheaper than the Naga still by $10.

Don't go Steelseries Smrti I just had one, it pooped out after only 3 years.

Steelseries warranty is only 1 year for gaming mice in North America.

If you have the disposable income, it's up to you/your call. I just bought a Corsair M65? vengeance? It was on sale.

It is very, very nice.

Good to know. I'll see how it compares overall to my last Razer mouse (little guy is still going but gets hung up mid screen like once every two weeks or so) which I've had close to 5 years now and played DDO on religiously.

I have enjoyed that combo since I got it.  Didn't go for the game pad when I first looked for game pads, and I had just purchased a logitech so I didn't want a new mouse.  Kind of need the mouse to go with the pad for the extra buttons.

I'd also like to see a good list of dubstep.  Good stuff to listen when I pedal down the road.

My current favorite http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse-Battery/dp/B00E4MQODC

Logitech G602. Only 6 thumb buttons that are relatively out of the way ...

My vote for best trackball http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Cordless-Optical-Trackman-USB/dp/B00006B9CR/ref=p...

I used to use a trackball mouse and loved it but they just don't make gaming quality ones anymore. Best part was no one could use my computer but me in the house ...

Stopped using a trackball when I got my Naga. Just like to keep my left hand on the WASD buttons and use my right thumb for most of the other stuff. I also have a Logitech 510, nothing super high-end but it does give me 18 extra buttons. Most of which I can hit with my pinky and not leave my movement keys.

The only reason I would see for using a trackball is for sitting in the recliner with a laptop

I actually game from a recliner in the living room on a 55" with a 24" off to the side for watching a show or streaming. I don't have cable so downloads/hulu/netflix are my entertainment options and best viewed via the PC ...

but yeah ... that's one of the best reasons to use a trackball.

I have a table right next to my chair/couch(whichever I may be using) that I use for a surface for my mouse.  If I'm sitting on a couch, I'll set up something for the nostromos.  If I have a chair, I'll set up another table.

I only play from the comfort of my comfy seats and have never needed a trackball.

If you're not using the extra buttons on a lot of the high end mice (mouses ?) out there, you'd be surprised how well a trackball works.

I used one for years and liked it better than a standard mouse till I opted for the Naga and more buttons

my mom has one of those, I was using it for DDO for a while, but then I started using my normal mouse again......it's really hard to get used to, especially since it is much more sensitive.

This Smiley

I tried a few out. The only trackball I think I could get used to is the logitech m570. I might be wired weird, but having the trackball under my fingers didn't feel right at all. My thumb loved it, though.
