	well the downside I that we pay a lot of taxes... ( 7K in my case... yup, that's 1/6th of my salary that goes away just in revenue taxes... after more taxes have been paid by my employer and myself ( but I don't even see the money )... and then I have to pay taxes on tax money... and yet more taxes when I use what money I have left...

	$30k is a shit salary, especially for an expensive part of the country to live in like the Boston area. Pay scales across different parts of the country vary quite a bit because of cost of living. Typically anywhere near the east or west coast is really expensive.
