Nope... I've made mine work just fine on the ship. I don't have to do anything special either. Record, play, done.

Is there a way to set up the disconnect, reconnect on my desktop using a wired hook-up as opposed to Wi-Fi?

I would love to try out some macros, but only have the manual button disconnect option.

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

This will actually reset your stored IP address, thus booting you from the game.. though, there is a way, and its already posted by me.. somewhere.. i think in the Feature thread.. its somewhere in the DDo specific forum xD

Seems to Depend on your setup... Ipconfig release/renew never reset mine, I always got the same one.

You could also try:

netsh interface set interface "Local Area Connection" DISABLE

netsh interface set interface "Local Area Connection" ENABLE

It should only reset your external IP if you are directly connected to the modem.  If you are going through a router, then it just resets your internal IP and not the one that is used externally by the DDO client, thus not booting you from the game.

You can have the game windowed and open the network card manager where you can right click and enable/disable your network card.

Do you disconnect from the game between each macro iteration? Shocked

No but I don't really want huge stacks of stuff on one toon so iv'e been putting it in shared bank to pass to other characters and when I log off my windows reset, I take it i need to set it back up everytime i log in
