Cordo said in one of his podcasts, it is coming again.  How soon depends on if they makes some changes, or keep it as it is.  Either mid or late summer iirc.

IIRC, our most glorious Maj said it would have upgraded loot next time...

I'm trying vigorously to find the post, right now... Yay, something else we can hold against him.  Roll Eyes

Edited:
Lovely, there was actually 2 times that he said it.

the developers are fine with the comm drop rate. Epic hard At level. Looking at raw data, most people run EH over level. It makes a difference.
Im not going to write a book on some of this. Varaguille has discussed the comm thing...all the way down to the math. Yes, the biggest xp/m quest is not optimal for comms.

Ill check my pm's
e3bc um...for fun? Check it on lamma next week.
Tomes...look at history. Tomes seem to always show up eventually.
targeting.ill investigate.
crystal cove loot will be adjusted the next time out. So this time is exactly as last year.

ah the promise word appears. There needs to be a discussion about this, when I'm on a real keyboard. I understand the community reaction. I'm not a fan of continuing the sins of the past because someone said something and it became law.
The rest of the year is about fixing the core game. Enhancements. Combat. Loot. There is new stuff too, but it all aligned with those 3 things.

If the double log thing is still happening plz share. I'm under the impression it is fixed.

I love the cove. It's still fun all these years later. Easily my favorite event in the game. Besides, Kobolds still hate you.
As for loot, it will be addressed after Update 22.
Known issue: NO XP if you run the cove past level 30,but will receive Green Dragonshards and other collectible ingredients upon completion.

My expectations are insanely low, as with any update. That way, when they screw up, I can say they exceeded my expectations. That they didn't accidentally delete everyone's toons with an update (As I expect them to)  Grin

Want to have fun? Make a few thousand kobold cookies before they fix it and spawn thousands of crystals at the start of a cove run.

Lol. It was funny a few years ago. The super jump was also rather helpful on the half pipe during the Winter Festival.

Turbine decided (as per usual), that fun is awful, however.

I haven't tried it since they changed the text on that cookie, saying it could only be used once per instance. i wonder if it actually changed....

Just a guess

I wanted to say August, but if they are truly updating loot, can they do that in one month (July)?
So give them two months, returns in September.
Followed by Mabar in October.
Update 23 in November.
Maintenance mode in January.

Do you really think they will bring Mabar back?
Last few times have not been very good.
Lag was appalling, lots of bugs.
For many, the spectral dragon was almost uncompletable. I think I had 2 from 14 attempts, all due to lag.  I know, I know, others had no probs at all - but I and many I know did, and the forums were abuzz with unhappy campers too.  Not that Turdbine would notice as they don't actually read the forums for player feedback, just to hand out bans.

Don't get me wrong, I hope they do bring Mabar back as it is the one event I don't mind pottering around with for a few days.

But this is Turdbine, so even though they know it is broken, they'll put it out anyway I guess.   Undecided

Just like the Traveller event - all they had to do was update 1 loot table, and they borked it.  Closed it down for how long?  Are the loot tables written in ancient Mayan?
And Crystal cove has not been updated in how long?  How hard would it be to extend the crafting table to 28, or god forbid, 30?  Nope, too hard....

Winter games - I don't even bother logging on.  All the crap related to loot overwrites and things not stacking.  Couldn't be bothered.

These events could actually be an entertaining diversion from the normal grind, but well...this is Turdbine.

LMAO! Nice!

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

They've not missed a Halloween since it started in 2010
buggy or not, fixed or not, it's coming Oct 2014
With the recent lag getting worse with U22, Mabar's lag will be at unfathomable proportions

You guys only worry because you do it wrong. All you need to do is, step in instance, go AFK, check back in ten minutes. BAM! Free scale or a fail, either way, no loss for you.

Crystal Cove will be returning this week! The event is expected to begin late Thursday morning (Eastern time) and run for about a week and a half. Please note that this time around, there will not be new Crystal Cove loot, as it is still in development. We will, however, bring you Crystal Cove again after the loot has been updated (no specific ETA at this time.)

Additionally, when we activate Crystal Cove this week we will also be turning on a double Commendations of Valor boost, which will also remain active for the duration of the Crystal Cove event.

Two weekends of Cove, but ends on July 6.
Usually they say the end day as Monday, not on Sunday.

Wow, you love me. There has been two big lag fixes in the past week. No, those are not going out with a hotfix. They are more wide ranging and take more time to test.
Of course every time you get like this, I keep wondering where your MMO is so I can play it. Obviously you know excatly how to piece one of these together. I can't keep apologizing a gazillion times for the back end tech and things people did on this game before I was even an employee. So one last time, yes some of the stuff from the before times sucks. Sorry about that. Yes we know, stop building new systems. Yes we know, finish the ones out there. Yes we know you hate bards.

And screw you for bringing up the laid off folks. That sucks every time. I made sure all my people landed in other jobs real quick. None of my 'casualties' are unemployed, just sadly not employed by Turbine. Every business goes through this.Even Valve has layoffs. It sucks every time. If you haven't had to do it then you just don't know. Picking people and knowing you are about to turn their life upside down is terrible, every time.
Not giving a bleep. No, I stop listening when the bile starts. Not worth my sanity. You know my rule, treat me like a human and I'll do the same back. When the rage train starts...cya.
So here is my peace out of the vault for a while. Thanks for the list Ranger, that was actually clear and helpful.
