They even have "bugs" in the url.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Hehe.  That's funny sending out a survey using they're bug sub-domain.
Probably just a mistake, but it is funny.

The odd part is that they need to survey their players for this info and not just run a script?

Yup, that would be quite simple to have the exact data with a few SQL queries...

We ain't got time to fix bugs because we like to give our workers busy work, like sorting through surveys that give less accurate information than our own databases.

Well, at least it lets them correlate guild size and longevity with willingness to answer surveys, maybe they are trying to see if their survey responses are really representative of their player base?

Ha, I almost managed a straight face with that one! They just can't write SQL  Roll Eyes

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

You had me worried there for a sec.
I would not expect the survey reviewer to get overwhelmed....

I am going to guess they are specifically looking for info on active guilds. DB queries would also return results for guilds that are no longer active.

Apply a filter on date last accessed, or min number of access since a date.

The problem with seeking out active guilds in this way, is it fails to account for player apathy toward Turdbine surveys.  You have no idea whether you have 5% or 50% respondents, so what do you do with the info collected?

C'mon - you think these muppets are sensible enough to worry about what the Exit surveys say?   Grin

Anyone leaving would be regarded as an idiot (and potential exploiter worthy of banning......), not a lost opportunity.  Undecided

Could be part 1 of X, where they look through the responses and select possibilities for a Guild Council.

Edit: ...which would require them to have some way of contacting you... wtf kind of dumbass survey is this?

Me and a previous guildie started our own. None of our other regular friends log on anymore, or transferred to another server. Last round of "vacations" laid waste to everything.

Frog on all servers, but Cannith is home.
