It's a high visibility reminder of the care for the game, sense of pride and craftsmanship of the developers, and regard you have for the players that is seen by everyone every time they log in.

Fix it.

Or don't.  That's cool, too.

I hear that quickly toggling between showhelmet mode allows the reuse of Otto stones.

True story.

Exploits buried in threads aren't fixed because "Research is Hard, Yo!"

You're probably talking about something that happened back when update 5 was rushed out the door and AoE buffs like Rage became single target.

This is hardly "the one thing" I decided to complain about.

But yes, This is exactly like bitching about ML requirements in quests.

Thank you for straightening me out.

ML requirement on quest bitching is a symptom of lack of available groups .... That and the fact that the end game is being lower than max level repeatedly so now even epic toons that have no power leveling penalties cannot group together.

Compared to an extra click on log in being an inconvenience ... fuck it. DDO is dying .. again. I havent played in a couple of weeks and don't really give a shit anymore. Even if Majmal fixed everything on the list my return would be doubtful. Too little too late.

Dude, don't you realize that little requests like this have an inversely disproportionate response that causes Turbine to "fix" other things?

Example:
Request- "Turbine should really fix the ladder bug"
Turbine Response- " That's a Great Idea, we'll totally revamp Guild Ships!"

At one time it was not broken.  Then they broke it.  It was fixed in the next update, then broken again in the next and left that way.

Perhaps I should have said "please review the version history for this and revert to working code".

That's what my "little request" is really about.

showhelmet did not do what I thought it would do.  They should break it down in two less ambiguous
commands:
/showheadgear
/showbellend
