Update 22 Patch 1 Release Notes
Welcome to the Release Notes for Dungeons & Dragons Online! These notes were posted on Wednesday, June 17th, 2014.

News & Notes

Airships and Guilds
Airship hookpoint buttons and airship amenity placement/purchase panels can now only be used by guild Leaders or Officers.
Fixed an issue that could cause an amenity to be un-purchased when being replaced by a new amenity.
Astral Shard airship prices have been lowered.

Crafting
Cannith Crafting Item Deconstruction now works correctly.
Fixed an issue that prevented the Altar of Epic Rituals and several other item upgrade systems and crafting altars from working correctly.

Items
Dragging and dropping ingredients into bags now functions again.

Quests and Adventure Areas
The Necropolis
Litany of the Dead
Tapestry, Shield, Tome and other bags once again work correctly, and allow for proper flagging for the Accursed Ascension raid.
Three Barrel Cove
Fixed an issue that caused DM text to repeat when either the elemental or engine was destroyed in a wilderness area airship.

UI
The /stuck command is now on a ten-minute cooldown, while we work to correct an issue that can cause players to become stuck in the Three Barrel Cove wilderness area.
Fixed an issue with the Bag Deposit Box. This feature is once again available!

I didn't expect them to fix the bag bugs that fast, but I am glad they did. Cheesy (especially looking at my sigil frame)

Hey... I saw several game changes which could have improved the bard play experience. Instead every time it's getting worse...
I try not to expect anything from turbine anymore, apart from bugged content.

I think that Maj is betterer than the last guy tbh. I know i will prob get a lot of hate for saying that, but there is imo 1000 fold better response time atm. Also GM's seem to have stopped being cunts.

Who was the last guy?  I genuinely can't remember now.  That's sad.  I just can't tell if it's sad on my part or his.

Oh no that douchebag is still there. He's the pirate fanatic and one of the most egotistical guys I've ever met. I strongly suspect he is the cause of most if not all problems we've seen.

Yup. Turbine cannot allow lvl 28 toons running HE GH repeatedly for quick renown collecting.

Hahaha, another rubbish idea nobody wanted first exploited and then refined into the ground.

How about not nerfing all the xp quests, not fucking around with sagas and fixes and sagas and one time and saga sagas and just MAKING SOME MORE CONTENT so there is enough to comfortably cap without repetition.

I should stop being surprised at some point soon I guess.

Nerfing the XP quests has annoyed me, but I have also started running quests that I wouldn't run if they still passed out the XP like candy.

I guess that's what Turbine wanted anyway.  Is it possible they succeeded?

Several points :

1) They fired most of the content designers
2) content is hard, you have to have imagination
3) content is long, each quest is handcrafted, consider that they have something like the Aurora Toolset from NWN...
If you ever tried to build something for NWN you know it's long tedious and time consuming.
4) They have a hard on for System Changes, because Wizard looks over their shoulder for what works and what is not working to see where they fumbled with 4th Ed and try to avoid it with 5th Ed.
5) They have a hard on for System Changes, because it's general and fast.
6) they have a hard on for System Changes, because it clears some of the spaghetti code left by their predecessors.
7) they have a hard on for System Changes because that way they can tell to an eventual recruiter : I'm the one responsible for <insert relevant system change>

So, remove old shit code, introduce new shit code.

Clever!

I am getting quite tired of this line of bullshit. DDO's code was fine for the type of game they released in 2006. A vast majority of problems and exploits have been added by the shit dev's that took over after turbine monetized the game to sell to Warner Brothers.

sarcasm roll failed... myst.

The spagheti code reference was for a Kobold that jumped ship recently...

Honestly, if they had some people with a clue and some decent time, even uncommented spagheti code can be fixed/debugged/rewritten the right and commented. For me it was never a good reason...

Indeed. But they could fire some of the 40 producers it apparently takes to produce the game and hire some new content designers, perhaps.

Nah, you need as many producers as possible so it is hard to blame someone for when things go wrong.
And if things go really wrong, yours odds of surviving are enhanced thru probability.
