lotrovault.com was taken
Similarities:
They also have an "Arkat"
They also have a yawner
Differences:
They posted twinkies, not donuts
They don't have enough exploit threads
I'm guilty for many of the posts some may have read. I did post the twinkies.
I'll keep it short since I'm usually long winded. Arkat actually warned us about this guy already. And yeah we've been yucking it up waiting for his arrival. Sadly it's far too late for our game. Kate Paiz has gutted it of any content. At one point we had multiboss raids, 6 man instances, 3 man instances and other decent stuff for endgame content.
We were always told 2 things about anything we wanted as a playerbase. Too hard, too expensive.
Today what you get is epic battles. Where you basically spend an entire instance not playing your class. They have removed the aggro tables from the mobs and they basically ignore you. And the loot! You finish an instance and it's possible no one in the group receives anything. Basically we were forced to run instances 100's of times to get usable items. The loot system is like something out of the Sands casino. The house always wins! So random it has driven away the players.
The fanboys on our O board have chased away anyone who has tried to point out the flaws in these strategies. And Sapience has given us the kinder gentler forum by banning people.
I think we have alot in common. We Lotro Community people have been likening our game to the titanic for along time.
Turbine has flushed our IP's down a toliet. It's sad too because I still play tabletop DND. So soiling this IP saddens me as much as what they have done to Tolken's works. They have become just as bad as movie license games.
Turbine is deliberately not merging dead servers so they can milk us for paid transfers. My server is constantly under 150 players total everyday.
We have a ton of mistrust for Turbine employees. So let's not expect too many warm welcomes.
That said hello everyone.
