Well at least we know they will be there in Two years...  Roll Eyes

Then they'll shift to LoTRO to celebrate the 10 years there too.

From Severlin:

Quote:
When I moved to game programming (as opposed to business software) the biggest change was that I was now implementing for an audience that had a sub-group that would actively work to crash and/or corrupt the system. Business and commercial software doesn't generally have people who will so aggressively try to mess with things. Outside the gaming world you worry more about data security and less about people trying to crash or grief the system itself.

He must not have done much business software.  I've never met the customer with a bit of technical skill who didn't try to mess with the software provided to them.

they were just trying to make dumb excuses as to why they don't provide good security and focus on exploits.

The most broken epic PL in the game is the ridiculous AC buff from martial PLs. But when you include all the inherent benefits from reincarnation, the thing is above the roof. The benefit from TR was supposed to be minimal, but now it is game breaking. start a new character and you will feel, you will get raped in heroics.

Personally I think lower heroics on new characters are harder than Legendary Elite content on a character with good gear and has all destinies farmed.

And someone in another thread called ME delusional recently!

Wow.

Have you EVER gone to Law School Feyn? Have you EVER been asked by a United States Senator who is now the Vice President of the United States to write a paper just for him on a particular topic of Constitutional Law for his use as a Senator? Have you ever been asked to help a very notable Harvard PhD turned Constitutional scholar with his very-well received book on Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Revolutions? Have you ever been offered a job as a Deputy Attorney General BEFORE you even graduated Law School?

No? Then STFU you fucking amateur.

Pretty sure that the fact that a service can be hacked doesn't make it the "community chest".

I wonder where he got that impression.... Because you know... in Telco we have hordes of people that tries to crash our equipments everyday... the same is true for people like Oracle, Microsoft and HP... there's hordes of people trying to crash the software they produce out there...

Latest one in telco : people are trying to get a foothold on systems using SNMP... via brute force attacks... It's fun to look at...until the time when they crash a system at Oh Indecent Hour and I get woken up by a phone call.

I write CCTV software, we have clients that deliberately try to crash our stuff just to have something to complain about.

End users, what a pack of cunts  Cheesy
