DC'ing hassle-free

If you hate the windows network ui's to disconnect and reconnect for your experiments, just use a little batch file:

Code
Select All
IPCONFIG /release
CHOICE /N /T 5 /D J > Nul
IPCONFIG /renew

The strange CHOICE line is a substitute for a non-existing PAUSE command and will wait 5 seconds before a reconnect, feel free to modify the timeout.
Open an editor (notepad), paste the lines, save it under e.g. dc5.cmd (the .cmd fileextension is essential). You have to run the batch file as administrator.

Nicely done.

This method differs from the OP in that it cannot be executed as part of a macro.

they will probably congratulate themselves on how long they "kept it going" never able to see that it could have easily managed to keep itself going for far longer if they had just meddled far less drastically and with some semblance of an actual gameplan.

Macros are of the Devil.  These artificial methods are sin.  The only true way is to pull out and pray.   Cry

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Too late. She was not able to give birth after the cancer surgery (let alone old age).

He just simply wanted to call her and ask her how she was doing post-surgery.

netsh interface set interface name="Local Area Connection" admin=disabled
specifically:

enabled=1

if (enabled==1)
{
RunWait, %comspec% /c "netsh interface set interface name="Local Area Connection" admin=disabled"
enabled=0
}
else
{
RunWait, %comspec% /c "netsh interface set interface name="Local Area Connection" admin=enabled"
enabled=1
}

So that is what you are calling it now, that thing 5 inches from the keyboard - the one that you are always "pulling" on... an Ethernet cable - crazy what you kids will name your tallywhacker these days!
