had this happen a couple of times... worm doesnt spawn or doesnt 'appear' to spawn but if you check around you should be able to spot it and hit it up with dots...

Interesting....did it solo and duo with no trouble. I even tried to bug it by killing red name when he falls in the arena. He went to zero health then popped back to 50%.

Are you only having trouble on a particular difficulty? EE and EH both worked in the past week for me.

Will have to run it tonight to see.

I did check around, we all did, no worm, cant target anything in there, ground doesnt tremble after 2nd worm, nothing spawns.

That quest has a lot of bugs just waiting to happen randomly. So far, these have happened to me.
  • It's possible to never get the optionnal exp for taking the drider's amulet as you leave the room. If you don't get it it's just gone, going back in and out doesn't work.
  • If people step in late, it's possible that the spawns related to that (wizards and stuff) will never appear, or spawn but be impossible to hit. But you have to kill them to advance quest.
  • Spectators can do the same thing.
  • Worms going underground and never comming back out. Or becoming completly impossible to hit by most damage sources. That second worm fucked up in one EE group and only the artificer in the group with a repeater was able to deal any damage to it. Other ranged weapons didn't even work.
  • The big worm that swallows the drow can decide to not even spawn.
  • If you hit the drow as he falls he won't turn to dialogue mode and you can beat on him forever and the quest won't advance.

I find the worms always hide underground.  They have done the last three times I've been in the quest.  All EE.

Did it yesterday on EE - we killed the slaver guy so we had the drider to help us - all seemed to be working fine.

Last time I ran it, it bugged and the last worm wouldn't appear.  Thankfully, Earthquake could hit it, although it took a long time and I had to use my bauble for the first time in months  :/

Meh, look for mob spawns in walls.

I've been in numerous random quests now since the update where mobs are getting trapped in walls (where it never happened in the past).  Everytime someone's claimed bugged, I've managed to find a mob hiding somewhere, aoe it and move on.

Of course, everything lags ridiculously now too.
