There used to be an old quick leveling guide somewhere way before the xp/ransack change that would take you from level 1-20 as fast as possible.
I strongly suspect that this guide is outdated and would like to know if there is a new fastest route to 20?

And no.. I never made the DD stone trick work and I'm not about to buy boxes to have them go poof either.. So legit questing/slayer/whatever to 20.

Still takes me more than a week of questing to cap with a couple of hours of gametime a day... I would very much like to change that

Depends on your playstyle, group, 50% pots or not ...

My way:
- PUG as much as possible: my guild is almost dead and I don't like to play solo (MMORPG)
- bank levels all the way to lvl 20 (I like seeing blue stuff at the bottom of the screen)
- 50% xp pots on at all times (thank you anniversary cards)
- try to keep elite streak going or at least hard streak for the later levels (I'm not VIP I can't open elite)

Got all that going as it is.. I have a guildie who can go from 1-20 in a couple of days using the old quick guide.. Only difference is him being vip.  I'm pretty sure he's not using any tricks as I  know the guy  irl and when I mentioned the renown and mailing btc stuff was going on he asked me to teach him :p

Not necessarily the paladin legit way.. I don't mind short cuts. Tornadoes are fun but I often pug and like to test builds.. Never settled on a final on my main..
I was too late for the saga stones and lost all my dd stones in a lag spike.. Not going to spend tp on more gold rolls.

if you aren't VIP and play more than 1 character often, make a free account and pike it on your main (assuming you're at least a 3rd lifer+) for an Elite opener. (bards or other buffing classes are great for this)
50% pots, slayer pots = good, but not wholly legit to some.

Bank that level, and then at 18, you just go to 20.
But a quest guide, can be subjective since playing expertise varies.
Do what you can complete, @ the hardest difficulty you can open & do things at that level to keep BB best you can. (a level 3 quest is 5 @ elite etc.)

Many methods to suit every playstyle and mood... it's really up to you to add your own personal flavor.

IF you want something best suited to your own personal style, i might be able to go through some quests/some generic tips to help you, and of course it is completely up to you to adapt it to your own personal style /modify it or scrap it.

All i'll need are some details :You said u r non-vip, what about playstyle? melee/ranged/caster..u know invi runs/safe spots, u using cookies? what build u planning to play? (evasion/non evasion) Specific quests that u'd like to avoid even if i had to force a gun on ur head to run it? Xp  buffs? (pots,shrines, lvl 1 +5% augments etc) Are you going to use at level 1 weekly rolls for skipping korthos? Packs that u do not own...

Ofc u can save me the trouble, and just say, nty, i'll do my own shit.../respect.

Most has already been said, but I'll post anyway:
Stick to high XP quests, but don't neglect the smaller ones. They add up.
DO not do LoD chain or Vale until you are level 18. Doing those 2 once you are at level 18 with full BB can quickly get you to 20. Both are also very easy to pug as well.
LFMs for vale slayers usually fill very well, and it can be easy to get 1500 kills for both lamm and shav if everyone knows what to do.
remember to always put your voice on at end of quest.
eberron dragonshards can be traded for XP pots (just 10% and 20% if I remember correctly, but still helps).
play during peak times

I'm trying to think... 1-10 Is just kind of running what's on your list. I always bank two levels all the way to 20. I never run anything twice unless it's a big xp drop. IE, VoN 3, Wiz King, Shadow Crypt, OOB, GiantHold saga, Monastary, Kobold
