Duping clearly affects the challenge level of the game, and thus, the long term fun of the game. But, there's an easy way around that if you don't like it. Don't dupe. Don't purchase duped goods. Don't party with dupers.
Duping only affects the game if you want it to.
Sure there are some ancillary side effects in the economy via the shard AH and the AH, but, of everything, those are minor.
A more valid concern would be the impact on grouping. Avoiding dupers takes away a certain percentage of the populace and duping renders some quests unnecessary, so getting runs together for them might be challenging. Also, if dupers get bored and leave the game it lowers the populace.
But, there are some players that stay because duping makes the end game more accessible than it would be otherwise. It reduces grind, which would drive away some players.
Is the overall impact positive or negative? I'd argue negative. But not as much as you would suspect.

I was doing low level favor farming with a level 28. And he was actually spamming bottled fireballs.
Also, I can't get card duping to work anymore, been trying different things. Is there still a method for card duping? Thanks.

Duping is nothing to me, I don't do it, I don't care if anyone does it, it doesn't concern me in the least. I don't give 2 (or more) fucks about anything surrounding the ASAH.
I could personally choke the shit out of the P2W bitch boys as well....WE ALL FUCKING PAY FOR SOMETHING AND NO ONE WINS ANYTHING REAL....give it up, it's weak.

Favored Souls are a class, not a build.

Not really. Just the ones created by shitty players were. Sadly, there are a lot more of those than the decent ones.

Shitty players? lol
Back then, the classic dc based 20 fvs was
the
solo OP build, and at least in Thelanis, most of the best players I knew played that build.
But yeah they were all pretty much the same, some were more OP than others but it was mostly just gear and past lives. The only difference that I can remember was the occasional 18/2 monk and the 1 wiz splash.

Hey Sasha, I see she has a movie coming out with Frodo as a fan that stalks her. Called Open Window, I think.

I was going to say that maybe a number of people running the raids are doing it to get their first item so they can start duping, but after all this time it can't still be that can it?

The only reason ppl run those raids is to get those fucking retarded items with fucking low drop rate.
Dear players,
The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

I agree. And there is also the side effect of people getting demotivated by feeling that dupers getting ahead of them and they are getting punished by playing clean (e.g. Greataxeuser).
I think it definately has a negative impact, but let's not forget who's to blame: Turdbin and only Turdbin alone.

Anyone that feels punished should probably step back and realize this is a fucking game. If it drives away retards like Greataxeuser then I'm all for it.
