Festival icy burst and minimum level (Read 3778 times)

	So sometimes festivaling an item reduces the minimum level, sometimes increases it and sometimes keeps it the same. Has any of you fine gentlemen figured out how to make it reduce the minimum level or when it reduces it?

Awesome effects (lightningstrike, paralyzing, heal amp, et cetera) were removed in favour of ghostbane, and added effects, such as festival burst, modified ML. The festival burst changes were reversed IN NEWLY CRAFTED GEAR. Gear crafted during the feathered-loot era were forever feathered.

	Yeah, it happened during the Great Ghostbanning of Loot... All the old Festival Items have been Feathered ( as in they have gotten higher ML ) I can't tell for new Festival stuff... as I was avoiding Icy Games... Now, sadly the Great Ghostbanning of Loot will not be fully reverted in the foreseable future...We will have to live with what has already been reverted.

	You won't get an increase in the ML of any item from putting icy on it. As others have said, that was a separate issue, for which we have Feather to thank. Glaciation can raise the ML. Many were confused about this throughout the festival, and I expect the same confusion will continue, if the feature persists. I think the feature was Feather's way of apologizing, (or sticking it to The Man, because Feather). It works on most post-ghostbaned weapons. It works on a few pre-ghostbaned weapons. It can be hard to tell, and if the feature is still around next festival, the re-seeding of ghostbaned prefixes and suffixes will probably have unforeseen consequences. There were folks claiming they could tell with 100% certainty which items would be affected, but I could never confirm their claims, myself. But I only icy'd like 60-80 weapons or so.

	Best use I found for this was a really nifty caster stick that I reduced the level on for earlier leveling, then just stocked up on saga stones and put it away...
