To dupe astral shards first you need an Astral shard token to dupe with, to get one follow these steps:
1-      Get log out confirmation screen up, leave alone
2-      Bind DDO store to a hot key
3-      Hit hot key, select astral shard amount you want to purchase, click quick buy but don’t hit confirm yet
4-      Confirm log out, this closes all windows, and bar starts filling
5-      Hit DDO hot key, now confirm the shard quick buy while bar fills
6-      Once status bar is full you are logged out
7-      Immediately log back into that character, astral shard token will be in your inventory

Once you have a token you can dupe it, several different methods have come and gone in the last few weeks, the following is a simple method with a decent success rate (30%) that anyone with limiting software can use. Unlike some others, I am a big fan of small tokens as opposed to large denomination shard tokens, that way the odd loss here or there won’t shut me down as I can always buy another. Granted, it does mean more cycles, but you can always macro it once you have your connection figured.
Follow these steps:
Directions:

1-    Using either Netlimiter, Netbalancer  induce latency of around 1,500ms, this will vary according to you specific local, you do not want packet loss.    
2-    Cause interrupt, I use a greensteel clickie
3-    Double click the astral shard token
4-    Quickly disconnect
5-    Drag Astral shard token to shared bank, twice
6-    Reconnect

This will work until the update goes live, and will most likely work after it.  I don't want anything in return for this, just enjoy.

Sorry Badger, I haven't run into that problem myself.  Try a bit of searching vault, I am pretty sure I remember it being addressed somewhere here in the past few months.

It looks like this will be a pretty profitable Sunday for Turbine.

Somehow, when I went to buy the AS, they did not go to my inventory in token format.  Didn't check my AS right before I bought, so they might have directly applied. Either way, no token and no more TP.

You have to have the quickbuy screen up and ready for the confirm button to be clicked when you confirm log off. This will shut that DDO store window immediately, but the moment you hit the hot key to bring the DDO store back up it will be right where you left it ready to be confirmed.

The moment you hit confirm for the log out the red bar will start to fill, you must immediately hit the DDO store hot key and then click on the confirm quickbuy button before the bar is full, and then do nothing else.

I repeat, do nothing, don't click anything else, hands free, let the game log off by itself and the token will be put in your inventory. This is by far the most dependable method for generating a Astral shard token

You have to pay for them.

Yes, open your key mapping and assign some key to the DDO store, pick whatever you want.

Thanks Hag, I had been screwing around with variations of this but couldn't get anywhere near success. And creating the token was a pain in the ass, this is a much better process.

No, it gave me credit, it used the token and applied the shards to my total, it just didn't leave a token in my bank so my attempt at duping it failed.

But I feel like I have the timing down now, I have had 5 successes so far including 3 in a row, and only used two tokens. Going to buy bigger token the next time it gets used.
