Why am I reading crap

Launcher would stick at "initializing settings" or something kinda like that. So, I uninstalled.

Trying to reinstall and launcher sticks at "loading launcher configuration".


Any ideas?
  
A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

Seriously. Anything other than the loader Turbine shat out. I know results always vary according to system/setup, but Turbine's launcher was responsible for 90-95% of my lag.
