Death ward vs hold monster???

Since when did this start?  was running all over gianthold tonight, every time I cast any kind of hold the skull flashed and the mobs ignored it, all my other enchants were landing left and right (enchant dc 72) but every hold including the bard mass got black skulled.

Can't believe I didn't hear about this.

Epic Shield ( whatever they call it... Death Ward/Hold/protections from a lot of stuff )...
The thing they put on some Epic mob to make them a pain in the ass that needs to be killed by bashing them.

Tor and Stormreaver's are in Gianthold, no?   The wiki is not always accurate or up to date, correct?   Keeping these facts in minds, let us re-examine my original statement.

Now, if you've taken the time to think, good and hard, like a big boy, allow me to ask you the following questions:

Is it the literacy or sarcasm that you're having problems with?  If we add that to the list, how many problems do you have, you sad sack?

Regarding the OP:

The Giants of Gianthold have almost always been immune to holds and charms.   They used to be immune to instant death in the pre-return, but that was nerfed a ways back.   It's part of being a giant.

If your DCs are high enough they are susceptible to dancing spells and sonic related CC, as well as druid earthquake and some ED based CC.

Now join my guild in G-Land and deposit AS in my ship acct.

Edit:
There is no donic element in casting; changed to sonic.

Are you 12?  Don't think I've ever actually witness anyone over the age of 12 call someone else a noob (outside of using the term ironically).

Could be worse, they could be a shitty bag of contradictions that pretends they know more than they do.  Like you.

Really?  You're talking epic?

Be a while before my wizard gets up to level so I can go hitting things with necrotic ray and stealing their souls, I hope you're wrong.

It cost me so little to provide Skoodge with a new experience. I could not call myself a humanitarian if I didn't.

Gentlemen! Gentlemen! Let's not argue and bicker about who's the noob. Instead, we should all demand that each others' claims be validated by an independent third party, call Jerry a cunt, and consume copious amounts of donuts while sharing pictures of large-chested women. Who's with me?

You are truly altruistic and magnanimous.   Cool
I'm sorry to have ever doubted....ermm, I mean, I never doubted you had these intrinsic qualities.

People claim to like new experiences and say things like 'I'll try anything once,' or 'don't knock it til you try it,' but as soon as a group of rednecks makes them take their pants off at gunpoint, they just blubber and cry.
