As far as the red names, yeah I have to turn off player names in quests when I group up with anyone with one, so I don't keep trying to attack them!

I still think the red name should have come along with making all the guild members able to be attacked.

Found a paladin keeping a silent vigil on my server today. Just... standing there. Looking out over the turn-ins. I stood next to him in solidarity for a bit(mostly because the game has /showmiddlefinger option) then I went back to playing.

maybe it was not paladin watching - i sometimes when running from necro quests stop there and watch for a while. watching people at work can be fascinating:)

Whenever I watch people turning in to boost their Guild Level, I cast invisibility on myself.  You know, to make sure they can't see me.  #propeepingtom

You could cast buff spells on them too. Like Aid. You could give Aids to all the exploiters!

Next time I run through the necro I am going to do this. I wonder if they will keep at it or get spooked.

I can tell you one thing for certain, my Guild Merciless Onslaught has never used an exploit to gain guild levels. We farm sagas together. The fact that we are a small guild with a few great players helps very much... I myself just the other day turned in all 11 sagas for guild renown at true elitist, with a superior guild renown pot, 204k renown for each saga... My guild does not need to cheat. We have just been having a competition on who can rack up the most Guild renown by the time we hit 150. Smiley

In the future please talk to me before making untrue statements about my guild.

Technically you are cheating if you are using guild renown pots that are not wai for some time now.

Sounds like you've got Paladins. A nasty breed of pest, those. They take a professional exterminator. You yourself are exhibiting classic symptoms:

  • Believing the truth matters to Turbine
  • Believing that using Turbine's fucked up code in the way it is implemented counts as "cheating."
  • Believing that it's possible to "cheat" any game that is PvE.
  • Believing the way you have fun is the only right way to have fun.
  • General self-righteousness.
  • Giving a shit what others think about your stupid little guild.
  • Believing others give a shit.

Please see a doctor. It used to be that rectocranial inversion was a lifetime affliction, but you in particular (due to affliction), would be surprised at the advances of science. Just one small dose of reality from your doctor can have your head out of your ass in no time.

More like the reciprocal.
