Need some help making game run (Read 2099 times)

	So at work I have this shitty old 3.07Ghz P4 9series, 1 GB of ram, and some horrible on board video. I can run the game fine, but I experience the red disco about 90% of the time when logging in to the game. Is there any .ini file i can change a timeout setting? I do work for government and have no access to change router settings, but like I said once i log in and can move I have no problem what so ever. It's just getting to that point. I understand the preloader will not work unless you have 2GB of RAM? Can I bypass this to help my loading times. I understand why this is happening, but with a lot of downtime at work I need DDO or I'll quit.

	try copying ddo on a usb stick and play from there. perhaps it will be faster than the struggling rusty old hard drive.

	DDO Pre-loader... that's the only way to avoid the red link if you still have it.

	Try the USB stick, but use it as swap.

Fucking awesome. My tax dollars at work. Min specs for DDO is a newer Pentium-D (a 9 year old cpu) with a dedicated DX9 gaming video card. It'll run like shit on that as well.

	ICS has been turned off. Yes this comp meets sys requirements but nothing more. I have access on my "pc" but cant touch serverside. I will try the preloader but I was under the assumption that you needed 2 gb of ram?
