Posting like a mad hatter today. I must be bored.
If you want I have a good problem to get you busy :
ther's a router that was upgraded last night... somewhere.
Said router does not communicate anymore completely...
But rollback to the old sofware version is not an option.
What works on said router :
- connectivity with other routers via direct links works fine.
- the router learns all the ISIS routes he has to learn, so that works fine too.
- But it's fucking impossible to telnet any of his loopbacks... because it doesn't advertize them as his conf tells it should.
You have 16 Hours ( that's the time we have been at it trying to coax it [ sometime violently ] to make it works as it should.
Oh, as an added challenge : It's not a Cisco, and It's not a Juniper... it's a Redback.
Have fun.... Me, I earned a fucking headache, and right now I'm drowning it in red wine....
