All content gets old, so it is pretty easy to dismiss Haunted Halls now that it has "been done".  It was and still is a pretty nice dungeon.  Good challenges, good loot, and entertaining.  If they do the same with Temple of Elemental Evil, I will be happy.  I rarely give Turbine credit for doing anything right, especially of late, but Haunted Halls deserves the credit it has been getting.

I am wondering if there will be some sort of expanded loot for the Xoriat stuff.  Perhaps, an Epic Elastic Bow?

I always enjoyed the sentence lord od eyes says at end of acute delirium.
Cant quote correct, but it was something like, but instead of betraying you i will keep my bargain and etc etc.
Was a nice twist that i always found funny.
Xorian might be fun, depends on loots as well.
I expect some kind supreme +12 of awesomness

(and yes they did hh correctly when you compare to modul)

The Xoriat content is mixed.  Some of it is off-the-wall funny, and some of it is just lame.
Happy to wait and see though.

I love the voice acting...think the quest is stupid.

Loved the throwback with HHoE, Love the idea of ToEE.

But for fucking real....more level 18 quests!?!?

How 'bout some goddamned more level 15 content....

With the exception of Litany, Level 15 quests are either shit for XP or are a pain to solo/shortman or find a group that can complete (and carry me through of course).

I would love to see a level 15, 4 quest chain with a level 15 possibly 16 finale...like the flippin Droam Invasion for crissakes....an extension of that chain would fill a vital XP hole.

I agree that there is very little in the 13, 14, 15 level range. And that those ranges could use a boost. While it is entirely possible to skip all lv 13-15 quests on an iconic. By doing wheloon, storm horns, druid's deep, high road, vale, lord of dust, reaver's reach, and then turning in 2 sagas for 300k. Lord of eyes and amrath arent even needed to cap to 20 going this route. However, It is not feasible to do so on any normal race.

Already many on the forums have also pointed this out. Turbine knows this. Which leads me to agree on the popular sentiment that these level ranges are being catered to for iconic sales.

I know... I tried... Even went as far as to suggest something à la old VON1 : an Inn and you start the Temple straight from it...

They prefer to do it the way they have decided, it will give them the opportunity to add Homlett and an explorer area... Eventually.... some day... when they have time...

I enjoy running Fear Factory and Lord of Stone but actively loathe the other 6 quests in those two chains!

Worst of all is that inane Fashion Show in In the Flesh!

ToEE could be cool, but I am not interested in any quest that involves an epic giant gay Fabio.

I never notice any one running that chain anymore. I'd rather see epic WaterWorks than that chain.  Undecided

Yep, we will be creating our own version of the original, classic Temple inside DDO. We’re very excited about adapting one of the most famous modules in Dungeons and Dragons history, and we hope you are too.

I stand corrected, they actually are making new content, it seems... maybe... we'll see

I still would like to point out that ToEE is Greyhawk, yet another completely different campaign world than Ebberon or Toril. Seems odd they would choose to do that over fleshing out more of what they already started (as I doubt they are actually going to release a whole Greyhawk Oerth world or even a small city to explore so it ties together and makes sense)...

Unless it's that the devs actually know nothing about the over 40 yrs of premade D&D worlds and history available to them. Someone should probably tell them about it.

These guys have not used a single thing to accuracy from any publications' world or dungeon map or blueprint layout from now back to the 70's. Can't even get the map of Cormyr right and that's just a fucking doodle. Point is, if you loved the actual original module; get your salt shaker ready because it will take more than a few grains to get through it without rage over accuracy, most likely.

That being said, it will probably be a fun 15 min solo with better bullshit bta loot than we currently have.

I already played that game.
I'd like new content to be actually new.

But about the u24 part of the announcement, I must say I like idea of Xoriat, I always found those quests interesting.

I played Temple of Elemental Evil on the PC and thought it sucked rotting donkey ball cheese.

If they wanted to select a quest that would not only challenge EVERYONE (even the "I can solo all EE content on any character" people) but would easily outstrip every quest in the game, they should do The Labyrinth Of Madness.

Labyrinth of Madness

I'd love to see that happen just to see the mother forums explode. That is the module that even the creator has stated that it's "just too hard."

My poem to Fran. Entitled "!!!"

The exclamation mark is not a period.
Not a colon,
nor semicolon.
The exclamation mark most certainly is not a comma,
nor a space.
That's what the [s p a c e b a r] is for.
Used rarely,
sitting alone at the end
of a sentence,
exclamation marks
have greater impact.
Too often and readers grow bored,
worried,
even agitated,
perhaps thinking
You are simple.

[and for me: the apostrophe is not an exclamation mark!!!]
