Sharn Syndicate - The Book Binder Rescue bugged? (Read 5394 times)

	1st time through-found all the binder's quest objective complete. Escorted them all out the door but Escort Grammah Binder to safety QO did not check off. 2nd time through-same thing except it bugged at Find Grammah Binder. 3rd time through-Found all the Binder's but none of the "Find X Binder" got checked off. Of course they all ran out anyway. annnnndddd couldn't complete let alone advance the quest line to pickup Come out and Slay. Has this been bugged like this for a while? I havn't owned/let alone ran Sharn Syndicate in 3 years. I earned enough favor points to get Sharn, Catacombs and Restless Isles the last 3 packs I don't own and possibly work towards a 5k award.

	The rock/fire portal guardians in eInferno stand up and nuke you without aggroing. I'd assume the bugs are related with Book Binder Rescue. I use bottled fireballs in that quest to speed things along.

	I just dropped the TP on Sharn this morning and it's been since Saturday that I did a turn round epic orchard so this has been my first exposure to these particular issues. Can't log in sooooo lol

	I ran sharn yesterday, went smoothly. Other than the pocket rogue needing to be told over 10,000 times to disarm the traps.

Did you have to stand in the trap for awhile before he became interested? I love it when they put the boxes on the other side of the trap and around a corner.....

Traps don't spring until you open the doors. I'd locate the box, tell the hire to disarm, and it would say "I will do so", or stuff along those lines. Then stand there doing nothing. It has been some time I used a rouge hire, but I think the position and direction which the hireling is facing may also have an effect on such things.

Try entering each of the rooms, as discovering their locations is part of the objectives as well.

	Ah, Ok this makes sense. The time the Find objective failed was the time 3 of them were in one room and all ran out when I opened the door and I didn't enter.

In Bookbinder rescue.. if I'm running it at level, I use chrono bracers or a wand or something to blow open the doors, hop over trap, and use the lever to disable the trap. Kill mobs and lead the npc's out. Or sometimes I kill mobs first, then disable the trap. I've done this both on monk and barbarian. I can't stand hirelings, they piss me off more than do what they're supposed to... so I've just given up on using them.

Tips: make sure you kill all the trash in the hallway, before approaching the doors. Fighting near a door can cause the mobs to break through the doors. Only do one room at a time, and pay attention to the npc. I can't remember ever having an npc die from the traps, but I could be wrong.
