So during the time I couldn't log in starting this afternoon, I reinstalled windows on my machine (i was overdue), reinstalled all my programs, reinstalled ddo, played GTA V for an hour, made dinner, washed dishes, made lunch for work tomorrow, did two loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and did some raiding in clash of clans.

so it was probably a net benefit for me that it was down today while I was off. But now maybe I can log in and get some xp.

hmm guess i spoke too soon. whenever I try to launch the game, it takes my name and password, i choose a server then the client closes itself. not sure what the fuck is going on

guess it was a bad userprefs file that i copied over from before i did my reinstall. after i deleted it, it started launching fine.
