Shield Suggestion

I am thinking about changing my pally swf + orb into a sword and board...  I have the sword part, but need a suggestion on the board part.  What would be the best shield to use for a pure pally Vanguard build?  I have the purple dragon shield out of HH (among others), but was wondering if I should be looking for something else...

PDK has sovereign vorpal, expanded crit range, red slot, and +10 to con and cha

gives tower proficiency and has higher base damage with a higher crit multiplier.

If both of the shields give stacking 20% shield bash then pdk would win out. If pdk shield bashing doesnt stack then I would go with Aegis.

aegis currently gives me 6.25(2d10) 17-20/x5 ...

1. too bad they screwed up smite evil, you used to be able to smite with a shield bash, that would have given me 6.25 (2d10) 15-20/x7 

2. divine crusader celestial champion does not apply to shields, also a sticking point

3. improved crit bludgeoning also does not apply to shields ... something they should change since they wanted to make shields a better part of the game
