The old-style "epic" system, whereby you took a heroic item, combined it with a shard/seal/scroll and made an epic version?

This was basically dupe-proof. Not literally, since they were mats you could dupe, but definitely figuratively.

You had to have all 3 items: shard/seal/scroll. If you didn't, if you only had the shard, well, dupping it 100 times wouldn't get you the seal.

Of course, the current method of "just drop the finished item with a difficulty level" is also pretty damn dupe-proof.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

It's cute how you think people haven't known how to dupe and transfer bound ings since forever.

I don't.

Of course, I've never bothered to try to find out....

"Science makes godlike -- it is all over with priests and gods when man becomes scientific. Moral: science is the forbidden as such -- it alone is forbidden. Science is the *first* sin, the *original* sin. *This alone is morality.* ``Thou shalt not know'' -- the rest follows."

It's better to assume that everything in the game can/will be/ has been duped. I don't mind it that much, cause a rampant amount of supply means an insanely low cost, as there is more available. Then again, people usually don't sell/trade/give away stuff like this to most people, so it doesn't really change too much.

I'm the useless fuck that has been supporting this dead game.

Ive gotten 302 pm's so far, the sig seems to have slowed them down. None asking about the herpaderp.

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

That's some amazing restraint. I was sure there would be at least somebody. I mean, I once got PM'd because I joked about Turbine needing to use the spell-checker "exploit" on one of their spell descriptions.

Do you have a stock reply to them?  How many send more PMs assuming you missed the first one if you don't reply?
