Who says some of us haven't done that already? mwa ha ha ha! never used kickstarter but deduce since they can't enforce payouts by the developers to those who donate, they also can't enforce collection of pledges. if they were smart that $600k has some fluff built in to cover the % of pledges that won't be paid.

They are selling multiple copies of the game if you contribute enough to reach a certain level. You'd think people who buy multiple copies of the game would expect to play with the people those extra copies are for.

	Yeah, everyone took the $20 option to get the free copy of the game. One way of looking at it is that they got some minimal seed funding up front, but that is 5,000 sales they will never make (probably more knowing how things tend to replicate on the Interwebz). I see Yobai took up all the $10k pledges. He'll start working on the $7500's soon.

	I have noticed two things: potato - the CC authorization validation isn't the most discriminating potahto - there is a significant lag time between when you cancel a pledge and when kickstarter actually updates the cancellation on the project page

There's been pledge fraud on Kickstarter for quite some time, or faux pledges. It occurs regularly on high-profile projects which is why the numbers jump around. Most people don't want to risk their own card number, so they'll just use stolen ones.

	It's interesting that anyone willing to pay $5000 is willing to pay $7500 and everyone willing to pay $7500 is willing to pay $10,000... but none of them are willing to pay $7500 to be in the second class tier. I think the lesson to be learned here is to create significant gaps (4x or more) between top tiers - or to create just one crazy top tier and be careful about limiting it. For when we all do our own kickstarters, of course.
