You can tell them it's a blacklist or that someone in the party doesn't want to group with them. There's no need to tell them that they are on a Paladin list, implying that you have need to know of and use a Paladin list. Unless you want a real Paladin stalking you.

If someone tells you that you're on a Paladin list, it's because they don't want to group with you and are fairly certain that you are not a Paladin. Or they are playing a low wisdom build.

Funny thing about people: most tell you honestly whatever you ask. It's actually a very difficult Wisdom roll not to. We're hardwired for it.
