SUMMARY OF POSITION
Turbine, Inc., a division of WB Games Inc is looking for a content designer for the Dungeons and Dragons Online team.  The Content Designer will create dungeons, monsters and treasures to excite and delight piss off and annoy our players . The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, have some expertise in scripting or coding, and have a good sense of either game design principles or a flair for artistic contributions to the game (i.e., first rendition of the flaming crown cosmetic). We are looking for candidates with a wider array of game design skills that are comfortable shifting roles (becoming the Producer in 2 months and then laid off) as we progress from update to update.

They fired their loot dev again.

It really isn't that hard. Pretty sure I could do a pretty good job in this position (minus the scripting stuff but I could learn that).

some expertise

This, right here, explains everything Turbine. If you have "some" of a great deal of knowledge or skill in a particular area, you are not an expert.

Not for someone like you mate! but for those of us not creating achievements and failures out of whole cloth well there is a big difference between being fired and quitting.

Confused? ask your buddy the Vice president about it, or maybe ask the Harvard Professor, or you could ask someone at the Attorney General's office what the difference is. You know the AG's office? the ones who offered you a deputy position when you were still in school?

Or you could discuss it with Tolero when she PM's you to give you the job! after all you suggested 1 item! in a PM! so it's like your running the loot department already right?

NoWorries?

According to the last ask the devs on DDOCast, he and Steelstar were the primary loot devs.  Steelstar posted on the main forum just this morning, so he's still around.

My guess is Steelstar was given the job temporarily. I guess he doesn't want to be the "permanent" sacrificial lamb loot dev.
