Aye, that was an awesome experience Sim.
Ah nostalgia.

My Grandpa summed up nostalgia with a saying he had.
"Some of those good old days weren't so fucking good."

Yes the EE games are compatible with a tablet device (Android and iPad).  Unfortunately,I don't have a tablet. I'm also a little concerned that the tablet experience may ruin the game for me Sad

Yeah... about that Arena of War... Atari had a decent little computer franchise going for D&D, but while it had lots of players, it wasn't really making money hand over fist like it wanted. So they pulled the plug, and basically told all its player base to go fuck themselves.. as they were off to print their own money with phone apps and micro payments....

Yeah.. their player base didn't sign up again, nobody new was interested, and Atari America went bankrupt 3 months after the swap.

Whats left of Atari was bought up by a French multimedia company.

To add insult to injury, Atari tried desperately to get mama Corp Namco to save them.. and got told to go fuck themselves... they sold off Atari instead LOL

You have a huge fail in here...

Atari ( aka Infogrames America ) was already a subsidiary of a French multimedia company.... they have been that way for years... say 10ish years.

In 2009 Atari sold it's distribution network in Europe to Namco-Bandai... that's what prompted the Atari/Hasbro mess, as Hasbro considers Namco-Bandai to be a concurrent.

What is left of Atari is still a fully owned subsidiary of Infogrames.  Roll Eyes

Damn it, Flav, I was just enjoying the Karma and here you go intruding with reality  Angry Couldn't we at least pretend some big corporate jerk finally got what they deserved? I know it doesn't really work that way, but we play fantasy games, right?

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

Well they still did pull the plug on AoW to go to mobile and they did end up filling for Chapter 11.
After huge restructuring they did manage to pull out of it though.

So you can still have your dreams.

Remember the Fireball effect on a 80286 or 80386?

Ever play the game on a Pentium after that but didn't adjust the game for the speed of the CPU?

Sadly phone games almost universally end up being wait-gaming, pay-per-click claptraps. DDO is trying damn hard to turn into that, which is extremely bothersome.

I'd be happy if I could find a cellphone RPG that's NOT stupid pay-per-click BS, but I, too, have a windows phone, and I believe such a game does not exist.

I've heard Baldur's Gate was ported to android, though.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.
