Nothing wrong with this. The boxes are nice, not as money-grubbing as some of the shit they try to sell.

Will probably resist the urg to BUY one this time, but I never complained about them existing Tongue

log in numbers are down by half compared to the last quarter. Turbine needs to bring back dupes and reuse or no one will play.

Mostly true. Also the mimic event is over, so might recover a few because of that....

We'll when they permaban paying players, what do they really expect ?? One was VIP and the other had purchased the 1 year subscription, but his current VIP wasn't over, so he cancelled it before it was charged.  Way to take money out of your pocket Turdbine !

I was surprised how many people hated that.  I sort of miss mimics now.

I know it's not the same, but you could always pull a random mob over to attack you while it hides behind the open chest UI.

While the event itself was more randomass bullshit, the mechanic was actually kind of fun. I sort of liked the surprise when a chest transformed and went after somebody!

As the gulf between established players and new players grows, new player retention gets a lot harder. When I started playing, the cap was still 20 and the TR mechanic had just been introduced.

Now a-days, the cap is 28, everyone is walking around on multiple TRs, and all development time and energy is focused on the 15-28 game. For a brand-new player, especially from the standpoint of someone familiar with PnP, that just looks IMPOSSIBLY far away.

And Vet status or Iconics is not an answer to this problem. Look at this from the perspective of someone who clicked on a banner add and wants to try out a "free" game: the very first thing they do is NOT going to be "buy vet-II status and roll a lvl 7". They're not gonna know wtf that even means!!!

Yeah I've run into that problem a lot. First I was spreading plat to alts, then 20+ of them became plat capped. Then I started buying things off plat house whenever I saw someone wanted something, that didn't help. Seems I blow 4 million I'm getting 4 million back in a week or two of just deconstructing, since I don't sell things.

But it is possible that they can buy Vet II or Iconics - can you imagine a new player on an iconic trying to tackle lvl 15 content completely cold.....
At least Korthos is gentle learning curve.

Well, if they take the time to learn the controls and stuff first, there's no reason a level 15 bladeforged with starter gear can't survive Delirium on normal. Presumably they'll have at least done a walk-through of Korthos before deciding to drop cash into the game for an iconic race.
