Another crafting system - what a surprise.

I'm curious to see what the big reveal is on Mysterious Remnants that Sev alluded to.

Of course there's another crafting system.  How else are you supposed to get good loot?

Wait... you mean BESIDES the Epic Chrono gear, the Epic Cannith gear, the 20th level Crafting gear you can make to fill any particular nitch/need, ANY of the old Epic items from Sands, Red Fens, Alchemical gear, greensteel gear, etc...

Yeah.. we definitely have a void there that needs filling

No void there.
The point is people want gear that they can use for more than only 1 lvl.

1) play a build that's not equipment dependent..
2) use tactics and stop sucking. Not everything is a "Let's Zerg" Leroy Jenkins encounter

Depending on my character, I have full sets of greensteel (with parts I can swap out) and/or Crafting. Make the right items and they are good till 23. Same with Epic Cannith or Chrono. Then I start upgrading to Web and higher end Epic Gianthold. Eventually you get to TF and MoD... now THAT is 1 lvl only Sad

Since they've been an emphasis and will still be in devs' minds for more than one update, they could become the only ingredient usable in more than one crafting system.

To be honest though, it usually hurts, being so stupidly optimistic.

Ah, forgive me for forgetting those exist. It seems like the greensteel crafting was lightning in a bottle. They approached a similar value with a few ioun stones, but nothing like the comprehensive balance and enduring utility of greensteel. To make matters worse, many subsequent crafting systems outright negated the value of previous ones, and greensteel is also much less worthwhile than it once was.

Whatever their goals have been, the results have been a steady and consistent erosion of the value of all loot.

Yeah, I'm with you. I design games for a living, and it's design like this that makes me resist opening the company up to be more than a solo act.
