Did anyone ever put together a halfway decent guide on this? I can't make sense of it.

Even in the days of 20 cap, nobody ran House C quests. Took an hour just to get a raid party to the quest entrance. Along the way people would drop because it was taking too long, others wouldn't be flagged and drop, more waiting, more dropping... a real shit show.  Sad Angry

Now, you just take a monkcher and solo them.

Why make one? Because not everyone stays at 28. Alchemical is still really good for a few levels on reincarnation.

I have aspirations of making an alchemical tower shield that I think will be really nice for 20-24.

And actually MA and LOB are starting to be run more. Not, you know, a lot, but about once or twice a week. I think people are realizing how useful the stuff is as ETR-twink gear.

Now if I could just figure out what the hell I'm doing with it I'll be set Tongue

That's not accurate.  In 2011, common raid trains included LoB, ToD, Chrono, eVon6, eDQ.  The LoB runs were annoying in the length of time to get to quest and the challenge of the raid on elite for a pug.

Yeah running through the explorer area every damn time was irritating as hell. Having to do a second explorer area kind of counted as part of the raid, but at the same time was just even more annoying. Worst still, with MOST raids you can start and let other people join late, with those ones they'd have to run through two explorer areas.

Von5&6 may be the single best raid in the game, with very close competition from Shroud.

MA and LoB could actually be amazing if they'd cut out the damn explorer areas.

And despite all the feedback, they never did change it.
Even now that it is no longer front line content, they still leave that explorer run in when a simple teleport to start of quest/raid option would make it easier to access.
Same applies to the Cannith raid zone.

Throughout the game there are so many options for little fixes that might make a tangible difference.  Make the pointless artificial hurdles in older content optional for those that want to explore.  Once you've done it a few times, it is no longer "fun".

If the time required to do it were onerous, then I would understand.  But seriously, a simple NPC with dialogue to teleport?  Use an existing one and change the name. Surely not that hard?

I have some tier 2 weapons.. I find they're good for lvl 18-23, so worth keeping around for TR..   ymmv

They are definitely best in class weapons for the low epic level range, with a few exceptions, and those exceptions are more difficult to get.  Until you get to CiTW weapons and the like.
