https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/458376-Community-Vote-for-Next-Classic...Players are calling for a community vote on what it should be until Cordo responds.
Quote:To be honest, while this would be a fun thing to do, we currently already have a name in-process for our next classic module.
They're already working on more fond memories to defecate on.
I do hope they consulted the PC2015 at least. Wait, why would they ask players what they want, when the brain's trust there knows everything?
We know the options are pretty limited because they don't have the creativity or skill to create much new stuff, and they won't want to pay for anything so it'll need to be something free.
Also it'll need to be rehashed mob models, artwork, objects.
Regardless of what it is called, it'll be a linear open doors, red alert, killed mobs, progress to next door adventure. Artificial challenge will be included via hidden FOM, True Seeing, DR100 and other effects.
Try quality, not quantity.
I'd like to see less mobs, but more challenging encounters with tougher mobs - eg another party of level 30 adventurers (no Turbdine, not two dozen CR100 bosses at once).
Try working on some really good AI and scripting, randomise the encounter(s) for replayability. Use actual character abilities and ED's - sneak attack, fascinate etc. Put some depth in the encounter so player's face challenges that can be partially prepared for but not completely.
