Epic Red Dragon Helm rarity.

I have seen exactly only one in 6 years, fortunately in my name. While i saw 3 sos shards and 5 red dragon shards, i am quite stunned that the helm probably is the most rare item in the entire game.

I've pulled 3 Red Helms in 47 runs across my 2 good epic chars, have yet to see a SoS or Red Dragon Shard.

You're right, it does need an update...+7 str sucks even at lvl 20

I think it may be so rare because, when it originally came out, it was the only "epic" item that just dropped as an epic. Everything else was shard/seal/scroll, but you could ONLY get this thing on EE, back when cap was 20.

I like the Improved fire augmentation - It's the ONLY improved augmentation to spells currently in the game.

Well i have one, alt has one, guildie has one, i passed one to friend that i pulled, i passed one to bot that i pulled.
I got exactly 1 seal and 1 shard for ross tho.

Which says that nopppppppppppppppppppppppeee the helm aint even close to being the rarest thing in game.

I didnt get a single heart of wood yet in game /saw in chest 3 times tho.
And trust me, i run shit alot.
Helms rarity is at most mediocre and its only good for its looks to be honest and maybe some scorcher builds

EROSS shard & seal, ADQ completions: 200 and didn't even saw one - now that's a rare item.

Epic red dragon helmet? phew, got one in ~30 completions (along with red dragon shard, still no SoS shard althou).

FoM boots shard is probably still the rarest thing in that raid and they're even worse than the helm.

Playing since 2007, each of my toons has a heroic and epic SoS (legit drops) and I probably have over 1000 total completions of Von6. I can't remember seeing a single helm drop for anyone, let alone me.

As it sit now it's a cool but popular-ish piece to glamor. Not worth using.

Anyways, yeah, that helm needs more. Is it so difficult to go back and update all the old raid items?

I don't think they need to bother with creating stone of change recipes - people can just go farm them again if they want the new versions. But they should increase the drop rates, too.

It's good for fire savant shiradi casters and basically no one else. Saw one drop the last time I ran the raid, but that was the only time I saw one drop in the entire time I've played ddo.

One dropped ( as well as 3/4 shards ) last night when we visited Velah ( EE ).
