Ok lets try this again guys.

Due to sneak attack scaling with 150% melee power according to the notes, it should be simplified as follows.

f(x,y):= x*(((k*y)/100)+1), for k:=scaling=1.5, y:=Melee Power and x:= Sneack Attack.

See ? It wasn't that hard you scumbags  Grin.

What you just did is applying a flat 150% increased damage buff, that's exactly the same mistake Erky made.  Kiss

How much does it hurt being your brain?

(Note: It might actually work either way ingame, I mean it's Turbine, but by the pretty unambigous description my math should be correct)

Melee (or Ranged) Power: 150
SA Damage: 15d6 (15*3.5 avg) = 52.5

150MP/RP * 150 Scaling = 22500 or 2.25CoEff (move 4 decimal places over on 22500 to make 2.25)

52.5*2.25 = 118 SA damage after scaling.

Am I missing something here?

I had already tested for results live and had logged them before HarHar posted his formula here, and the numbers live and in HarHar's calculations are consistent.

And don't try to blame your're being wrong on "Turbine math" , you're just wrong.

Chi is right, and that is exactly based off the same formula i used as noted above.

Maybe try visiting elemantary school once more, but this time you should do it right off the bat fagmaster Grin.

They didn't fuck the implementation up, it works exactly as advertised.

Tested:

6d6+15 Sneak (avg 36)
60 MP

Ingame sneak numbers in Impossible Demands: 60,74,74, 55,81,68,68,79,62,60,79,72,76,72,77,70, avg: 70,4

By my formula the expected value is:
36* (1+ (60 *(150/100) / 100)) = 68.4

Multiplying by the Erky method would result in:
36 * 1.6 * 1.5 = 86.4

Computing HarHar's method would result in:
36* (60*150 / 10000) = 32.4

There's no turbine math at work here, results are within expectation range. Big words and the lack of ability to follow through when it comes to basic math are just cute.

My math would be:

6 * 3.5 = 21+15 = 36
1.60*150=1.9000
36*1.9 = 68.4

I see where I missed the 1.0x modifier on my RP (2.5 for 150RP vs. 1.5 for 150 RP). I have it right in my spreadsheets, not sure why I did it wrong here. I have a good track record on that.

Also I am happy to report that my new Rogue heavy Shuriken thrower has
16d6+18 SA, with 176 RP in blitz (basically fulltime) with 70ish dex and 40% DS for 2.8 procs per throw

(2.75*1.5)*(16*(3.5+18))=305.25

305.25*2.8= 854.7 SA damage per throw animation Smiley

Very, very, very nice.

im at work using windows calculator. i guess I'll strop trying to do math without excel.
