So how does this work anyway. I have never used a stone before. When you use one does it like kick you from the game and lock you out for a week or something?
Yeah, when you use one, it temporarily changes your password. The next time you log out, they send your account username, the temporary password, and which character used the stone to the warden at a Chinese prison for political prisoners. Then some poor schmuck with the audacity to point out corruption in the Chinese government has to play your character until they earn you 2 million XP.
When they are done, your password gets set back to what it was and you can log in again.
It's usually less than a week, but some times it's longer than others because sometimes the prisoner passes out from the beating he's also getting. If you want to be a real bastard, use the stone on a con-dumped drow barbarian, that poor bastard can be grinding for like 2 weeks.
They thought about using a script to assign XP directly to the character, but that involved too much database programming, so they scrapped it and went with the forced labor scenario.
So yeah, you're literally paying to not play.
