From everything I've heard of warlock they will have precisely one skill, Eldritch blast.  This will either be the most OP skill in the game and make every other class super jelly till it gets nerfed to oblivion, or have some bugged mechanic with a some other class splash so that barbarian will finally be usurped as top DPS and everyone on MBs will have another thing to whine about.

So... you're saying you asked for guys with long hair, and got girls with long legs.... and this is a BAD thing? Um... ok

My prediction (probably stating the obvious):
Warlock will be extremely overpowered when introduced.
It will be available from the store and by favor or some in-game mechanic
The in-game mechanic will be tedious to acquire
Once the in-game unlocking of Warlock rate begins to approach the store purchase, the class will be nerfed.

Frankly, I think this is the way Sev is going. He was "interacting" with the players before updates for "input" that was never taken on board. Then fair number of posters complained about the nature of the interactions, how they had no impact, or how they picked apart what Sev would propose but not actually implement, a good example was the threat-range issue with Mechanics.

So now, they are just announcing it's coming giving the players somewhere to dream, the devs may or may not look over player input, but Sev doesn't have to run the risk of having to backpedal from something he says early.

So I do think it will be in just a few weeks, and I do think this roll out technique is a direct result of the shambling mess the previous ones this year have been.

You cannot underestimate just HOW MUCH Sev only want's to hear positive reactions to everything he and his minions do.

Just hope they put Otto's on sale soon because I want to keep my completionist but I'm not interested in grinding the Warlock, much less playing it. Here is hoping it has some decent past life bonuses at least.

Oh and if anyone has a spare burnable account on the MB's please feel free to post the above in the new warlock zone. I would but mine can't post for two more days. (what can I say? I was stirring up trouble a lot last week.)

This is Severance-Pay's baby, so you can bet it will be overpowered.
The devs love it (because they don't play), but it also sounds incredibly boring.
It has one ranged attack.  Wow.

Yeah pretty bad. He was rather angry when all the bitching about the classes still waiting for passes came up in multiple threads and word came down from higher ups to do some passes first.

His delayed gratification shall be immense and pagan-like in it's majesty.

His "restraint" on the crit threat range buffs of the last update will look hilarious in hindsight.
