The Chin, and Severance_pay were so pissed off on Wednesday morning that Fat Jerry was sent on a purge. He banned over 50 different mobo accounts before lunch.

Touchy touchy Jerry.

What does that achieve?
Those guys are so unbelievably unprofessional and immature.

Gets worse, apparently there was a giddy sentiment of "we showed them" the rest of the day.

Much more interesting to me is Snook's tremendous relief about what was not leaked from the PC forums.

Dear Jerry:

"When you fart in a poorly ventilated room, turn on a fan."

Yes, according to Turbine's slogan, anyone who plays DDO is a "fan." Still, the best interpretation of this sentence is not banning an account. Because of you, everyone at the office is giddy from lack of oxygen.

I am curious about that as well. To me, what was leaked does not look substantial in terms of "omg sekritz!"

Zing!  Grin

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

Maybe I'm missing something.
Who exactly did they think they showed?  Who did they think they stuck it to?  They do realise peeps can just create another account??
Were they after Vaultie's or just any player who speaks out against them.

There were leaks, deal with it - maybe they could try to source the leak (which is easily doable) with some patience instead of playing Whack-a-forumite.

This is like watching a group of 5yr olds trying to enact a propaganda campaign.

Munk, are you planning to take this somewhere further? because you definitely should. This is getting ridiculous as they are banning people based on suspicions once again. Like they never learned from their mistakes. Also seems like Cordovan is reading this forum more than he should. He should ban himself too.

It wouldn't do Munk any good.
They don't care about collateral damage.

Cordo probably isn't reading here much as he's too busy banning people on the main forum and fapping.  Wonder how many pairs of socks he's gone through already?
He's got enough informants here to do that for him.

I am surprised we haven't heard from the Mattyboy account telling us how depraved and selfish we all are (even though just one Turdbine chosen PC member leaked).  It'll be the usual self-serving drivel (reviewed by the lawyer and PR dept) from whichever Turdbine stooge is driving the account that day.

Wait what? I thought reading here is what leads to fapping.

Nothing excites Jezza more than taking his 3 inch banhammer and wielding it like it were Thor's Hammer.  He is powerless here - he can only derive vicarious enjoyment.  Whereas on the shithole forums, he is all powerful and godlike.  None may question his power there.... Hence why it is the shithole forums.

Well idk, I would certainly do it. But I am not him. This was nothing but a pretext to get rid of a person who wasn't an auto yes man. And we could all see that he was giving them hard time on the PC forums. So unless they have a valid proof that he's guilty I'd make sure they won't come out clean from this.

They accepted Munk even knowing he was a Vaultie. I bet they were expecting something like this sooner or later and Munk is just a scapegoat in case any of this ever happened.

DDO is so far down my list of priorities. I don't have time to play the game let alone "take things further".

I really do understand your enthusiasm to see justice done.
But I guess I'm old, bitter and jaded.    Undecided

What could he/you do?
My honest perception is that they would ignore any and all complaints, and if you tried to take it further it would be dismissed as a storm in a teacup.

Last year between Meli, Thaz and me they had 3 obvious Vaulties...

I can't talk for Meli and Thaz, but it was clear for me that I was goner in the PC as soon as a serious leak occured.

But tbh because I don't play anymore and just lurk the forums at work and also because my english sucks, I wouldn't do a shit either at the end Sad

There was a lot of talk about the vault on the PC last year.. several admitted to reading them. It doesn't make any sense at all that they would start removing ppl for being on the vault.

And you know.. why would Jerry think it was Munk? You know what I think? Someone pointed the finger at you. That's how most bans happen.

Look at the leaked web pages. The edit buttons show up for his posts. Those are easy enough to forge, but there's also a section of javascript that contains his user id and a session token. The session token should be nearly impossible for a third party to forge. It should only be known by Turbine's servers and the user's client. It's still possible that the session token is not Munk's and someone was thorough enough to replace the user id.

Well shit, who will everyone get to make their builds for them now ?

I don't get bans personally. They don't make sense. Take someone who is enthusiastic and then ban them. Yep, that will work.
