Almost. If they did any marketing and fixed most of the broken crap they would have an enormous playerbase.

Getting 1000 new players a day into the game wouldn't help because you would lose 1000 new players 3 days later when they realized how broken the game is. Look at the population spikes a server gets when it's made the default, and look how quickly that trickles back to baseline when a different server becomes default.

Lag is back to the worst it's ever been after months of being only pretty bad, a variant of the First Failed Login bug has surfaced and is spreading, and servers are going down more often than SeverancePay's mom when the navy ships dock.

We'll all advertise for them once they get things patched up, but for now I consistently tell anyone who asks me about it that the game is severly underperforming (and explain why that's funny).

In that case Turbine will just have to follow orders ( especially if the Turbine manglers still around want to have a tiny chance to be kept in WB Games once the dust settle ).
if the WB Cleanup Team say : Cut Losses, Shutdown DDO, Shutdown LoTRO, Shutdown AC... they will roll over and shutdown whatever they are told to shutdown.

I missed it the first time around also.  I was neck deep in a major new possible project at the time.(Which actually might come to fruition)

I took the 85K number as being paid VIPs.  After all, if you are a for profit corporation, the only actual revenue you can count on are the for sures.

If LoTRO has 85K paid VIPs, I think that DDO has 17K?  For some reason I like the 20% guess.  The real shocker is that Asheron's Call had more than DDO.
