Did they nerf mobs?

So I hit 20 on my twf, started doing lowbie EEs - LOD, Servants - using khopesh w/greater paralyze (DC 25). Works wonders till 21, when you get the drow weapons. Anyways, hit 21 forgot to hit the bank and joined higher lvl EEs like Von 3 and Mirror and, strangely, the greater paralyze continued to work. Worked wonders in Von and I expected it to fail in Mirror at least, but there it was, working away, paralyzing Shadar Kai. It never used to work at all in those higher lvl quests, which is why I never considered them above lvl 21 weapons.

Did they nerf mobs? What's going on?

imp paralyzing always worked fine in old epics and even EEs if u have some solid attack speed. in higher level quests works  but just on 1s on mobs saves.

Any chance you joined a group with someone using the TF paralyze effect?

tf paralyzing fear works actually same as regular paralyzing - both have 5 percent to paralyze opponent on hit - regular on 1 on save (ie 5percent), tf - 5 on hit

Are you sure about that?

If the wiki is correct, TF paralyzing is a straight 5% (1 of 20) with no save roll.  Improved Paralyzing is listed as a DC 25 Will save on every hit.

In theory, those are very different.  Whether a DC 25 equals 1 in 20 depends on the mob's Will save.

In practice it may well be close to the same since most EE mobs would likely only fail a DC 25 check on a 1.  Is this what you were referring to?

So your answer is, "Yes."

In the Von3 EE, that's totally possible. In the Mirror, I was alone when mobs were getting paralyzed.

Based on the above, maybe it's just attack speed and luck.
