One icon overriding the other is mainly due to nonstackable melee power buff.

OH! I had been given bad info going into this: I was told that you needed to wield two weapons, and because of the bugginess of animal form the game interpreted you as simultaneously qualifying for both fighting styles.
I didn't understand the point if you weren't wielding an offhand weapon. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me!

I really wish you were pretending. Best possible advice you could take would be to forget about exploits until you learn basic game mechanics first. Believe me, you'll have a less embarrassing soulstone.
My main has two past lives, but I didn't have any experience in this area of the game's mechanics. That's why I asked here, to better understand how the mechanics worked before proceeding.
