What is the best class to splash and why? (Read 2216 times)

	Specifically, how many levels of said class do you take and what are the benefits? - (enhancements/feats/etc) does this splash only work with a certain class as the main. Additionally, what are the enhancements/feats that are a must for a particular class to be it's best? Like what would a wiz be without Maximize and Quicken... etc Looking to add variety to my toons, and I know that there is a wealth of knowledge in this forum... if I can only separate it from the dick jokes...

	Can't go wrong with a dick splash, you gain so much. (EDIT: Revaulting beat me to it..) Second best I'd say 3 level paladin for +25 PRR/MRR, +20% HP (if wearing medium armor or a shield) Divinge Might, Exalted Cleave, Melee power boost, Vigor of Life, +3 to saves and even more to saves with divine grace (good even if they change it) The basic stance works even in cloth armor and no shield. Go seperate.

	If you want a centred build, 6 Monk is quite nice with Shadow veil, Sting of the Ninja, evasion, 3 exta feats and Adept of forms for free.

I'd argue that splashing is too build specific to pick one class. Although, there are some that are better than others for goals. For melees, for example, the 3 pally splash mentioned above is hard to beat with a 2-3 level splash of any other melee class, but even that depends on your goals. Here are some reasons people splash: Increase melee DPS Increase ranged DPS Adding evasion Adding trapping Increase spell DPS Increase spell DC's Increase PRR/MRR/AC/Saves Improve self healing ability No one class can help with all of this, but you do see certain classes get splashed more than others: Pally, Fighter, Monk, Rogue, FvS, Arti for example. For some the reason is in the base class abilities (Fighter - 2 feats in first two levels, Monk - feats and evasion, Rogue-Evasion, trapping, UMD unlock) for some it is in their first 2-3 levels of the PrE trees (Pally, Fvs for example) which are accessible much more quickly than the rest of the class abilities.
