and I'll just put this here for those who cannot go to the shithole forum.

Quote:
Based on player feedback we are implementing some experience changes.

~ The Flawless bonus to experience now only counts your character's deaths instead of the entire party. This means if you invite someone less familiar with the content to your group and they die you won't lose your XP bonus unless you also die.

~ Henchman deaths no longer reduce the flawless XP penalty.

~ There is now an NPC in the Hall of Heroes that will suppress your Bravery Streak and associated bonuses. While suppressed you can go off and do content on lower difficulties without ruining your streak. This allows you to group with friends, or join pick up groups, or even do new content on lower difficulty settings without ruining your bravery streak. Note that while suppressed bravery streaks are not ended, but you don't get associated bravery bonuses.

We also have some special events coming up to reward grouping.

~ We are working on an additional DDO bonus days event that will award a percentage bonus on completion XP for each additional person in your dungeon group. This will not affect raids.

1,000 days late and probably $250,000 short.

Once again a good idea executed for shit.  HoH is so convenient.

I care about the rest even less than I care about what's above.

It's probably too late, but these are good and welcome changes. It won't change much about how I play but they're better than now. (As long as they work and don't break stuff.)

This will be good news for noobs trying to get on level 15+ quests, could help keep some of them around until they can TR a few times at least.

So I will call it positive.

They should have put the bravery suppression NPC in a lot more places, and made it a Air-ship option.

I brought up concerns with the team about convenience, and we are planning to also add the NPC to guild airships.

More XP for grouping and no XP loss for you if someone else dies is fantastic.

They have actually done a good thing here.

This is good.

Complaints about how long it took to shout these changes into their tone-def ears are valid, but why waste good hatred and bitterness on this, when there are so many other necessary QoL fixes still not getting through their cluelessness shield?

Agreed RV.  Complaining about the timing just looks like sour grapes (it is valid though).
At least the change is positive and shows someone is listening.
It's a start.

Pausing bravery streak is a good idea too.
I hear this one quite frequently as an issue.

Solid changes.  Wish they happened 2 years ago, just like everyone else, but better late than never.

I know I have skipped out on joining pugs that want to run on a lower difficulty level to keep a streak going.

The bonus for more players in the group will lead to some SERIOUS multi-boxing.  People may not group so much as just create 5 F2P accounts and park them at the door.

That will boost the log-in numbers. Which is the goal afterall.

Jesus Memnir.  wipe the cum off your lips.  you're slobbing Sev's knob for changes that will affect almost no one and are years too late to do any good.  none of this will boost LFMs significantly.  just look at the thread responses.

here's what will happen.  no significant increase in LFMs or PUGs.  a HUGE increase in multi-boxing as soloers and duoers door sit with their alts.

Sev is trying to throw a meaningless token bone to the unwashed masses who are too ignorant to understand who is playing.  apparently your loooong break has turned you are one of those.  christ.

Sev,

I didn't say so before... this news came as a very pleasant surprise to me, and I forgot to elaborate before...

But, from the bottom of my heart - thank you. Thank you for listening to the community, and taking steps to improve the game based on what we have to say. It may seem like a little thing, but it is anything but. It's huge, and this post has done more to restore my faith in the Dev team then any other news in years. We spoke, and you not only listened - you acted. I'm just sorry I was late in expressing this.

Thank you.

and that GIF.   Smiley now I have to drink a jigger of rum just to wash the taste of reverse peristalsis from my mouth.

A. no one with a clue about how DDO math works gives a flying fuck about the 10% flawless bonus.

2. the reason they say they are changing it is a fantasy.  it will not promote more LFMing.

III. the BB delay?  who the fuck who can play this game is going to stop elite streaking to slow down and play with rando PUGs?  ROFL.

FIFE.  the bonus for moar grouping?  guess we can all use those alts we made for free j-cube pets to multi-box now.

the changes are good for me.  more xp is always good.  the REASON behind the changes is a fucking farce.  good players will get even more xp for NOT grouping.  LOL.

I don't believe it will encourage multi boxing on a large scale for several reasons.
1. Moving a whole party of toons is a bloody chore.  In some rare cases where there is a cluster of entrances like VON series - not too bad.  But the von3 entrance run is a nuisance.
2. Most good players who Zerg could run a whole new quest in the time it takes just to move a party to next quest.

I think it a great idea, sure I would have like to seen it sooner but this is pretty great.

Our guild has a ton of fairly new players, and this will make it a lot easier and more attractive to help them out I think.

And now I can finally complete the darn Fashion show in a TR after seeing the BB suppressor.

always trust in sloth.  can't argue with that.

but if I'm not too lazy to bring one or two of my alt accounts into quests I'm going to solo or farm then you know there are some serious nutters out there who will six box it.

hell people already are.
