You guys are so self punishing. 10% per groupie all the time, fuck it why not. The game's losing players not gaining them, let's dangle a fat carrot at this point.

Nah.  I get it.  If they do it all the time it becomes the norm.  Expected.  Loses its value proposition.  I could see doing 5% per extra player or 3% and then doing 10% weekends.  Best of both worlds.

idk aside from more xp which is always good, it was fine for me. it made me to run with people I know but haven't run for ages. Kinda escape from usual treadmill in name lets have some fun together with some xp bonus. we ve done stuff we usually avoid or don't make it so often, but which can be actually fun with fine party.

and if it brings anyone similar experience or letting him find new good  people, it fulfilled its purpose

Then you're late to the party.

https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/464417-DDO-Buddy-Weekend!-Get-More-XP-...!

Quote:
DDO Buddy Weekend! Get More XP For Playing With Friends!

This weekend, DDO bonus days brings you a bonus to your questing XP when you fill up your party! Each person above 1 adds an extra 10% to your dungeon experience (non-raid). So that means depending on the size of your party, you could get up to 50% more quest XP!

        2 Person Group: 10% bonus
        3 Person Group: 20% bonus
        4 Person Group: 30% bonus
        5 Person Group: 40% bonus
        6 Person Group: 50% bonus

This bonus stacks with all other XP bonuses and potions. This bonus is also dynamic, so as people enter/leave your party, the amount will adjust in real time based on how many people are in the party as you are playing the dungeon.

Note: This bonus applies only to dungeon XP, and doesn't apply in the following types of content: raids, adventure area landscapes, optional quest objectives, nor challenges. Hirelings, summons, class pets (e.g. Druid wolf, Artificer dogs), and hireling defenders (e.g. Panther, Owlbears) do not count towards party size for this event.

If I recall, something like this was pitched as an incentive for grouping... just as permanent, not a weekend event.

I would hope it stays, but I have never seen so many people shoot themselves in the foot like they do in ddo. Fernando has these bitches so trained that they demand to be treated worse when things are good. that guy is the pimp of nerds. you should read how many bottom bitches are asking for it to be reduced on the mobos.

As an event reward it should NOT be reduced.  If they are going to make it permanent (And still run bonus events where it goes up to 50% for the weekend) then a permanent bonus that is lower would be fine.

Honestly, I'm OK with it if they want to give us 50% all the time, especially if they plan on raising the XP needed to cap when Level 30 comes out.  It is insane to need 1 million XP for 27 and 1.3 million for 28.  Needing 2.3 million XP for two levels (where you get no real power besides gear ML) is just dull.  Especially when you can get from 20 to 21 in 15 minutes with two runs of Spies in the House. Smooth that shit out.

I got in about 7-8 DoJ's and 2 Shadow Dragon's.  Saturday night a few folks were raiding.  But several guildies didn't want to miss out on the XP bonus so they ran 6 man stuff, especially the longer stuff that yields solid XP, like HH and TOEE.

I admit freely...I had no idea there was an XP thing going on at all! LOL!
Oblivious should be my middle name, but we all know it's Soulstone.  I was happy to do the HH with guildies even though I was 5 levels lower than anyone else at the time! LOL

It was nice, but I think if it will be permanent, it will become multibox bonus.
So much easier and faster to make few accounts than to bother with dumb puggers.
Just buy few quest packs with XP trains on extra accounts and forget about pugs.

Best weekend bonus ever.

I'm glad they didn't listen to Flav. Maybe they can introduce a new item in the ddo store for those who don't like extra xp - (-50% xp pots) so people aren't encumbered by the unwanted boost.

Except that as long as there's no /follow command, multi boxing won't be easier or faster, and running quests is how ignorant puggers become informed.

We need new players.  Treat them nicely.

Rewarding grouping with new players is a good thing.  The bonus to TRs should be higher for each first or second life group member.

It was fucking awesome!

Cut the bonus in half to a max 25% for permanent implementation, then give us bonus weeks/weekends at 50% or even 100%!

If these guys don't give this permanent implementation then they may as well go join a cult that doesn't have access to the internet and only allows same gender intercourse.

Yeah, that makes those shitty XP raids more compelling.....

Not sure how they make it work for raids as they go on timer (unlike quests), and there are far fewer raids than quests.
I wonder if they thought this through?
