if you mean Thailand then hi wellcome

When you use names like Bangkok and Phuket, it should be no surprise when your country becomes one giant redlight district.

Turbine policy - glitches and poor coding resulting in interference of your game play or enjoyment will be ignored.  Glitches or poor coding on the developers side that at all benefit your game play or enjoyment will result in your character being banned and/or items from your inventory deleted.  Please report all bugs via our bug report...when it works.

well there goes that boat. I collected a ton of ingredients over the years without duping. I then took some time off, never realizing that Mabar was gone for good. LMAO. I never turned my stuff in for any goodies, i was just hoarding. O well, just another reason why i've gone from play for fun to play to win, to play...um, when i can. At least my tetris collectible bag will have a few less items. Why keep monopoly money around when it has no value. There should have been at least a turn in on these things. But i get it, dupers might have millions of theses things and turn ins would still quantify free stuff. What a pyrrhic victory for turbine.

This reminds me of the time i hoarded thousands of fire wall, Dimension door and Cloud kill scrolls before they took them out of the vendor/market. With gameplay today, there practically useless sans the d-doors

I like this game, but gosh, it never seems to value those feelings.  No, I am not a Duper.  Yes, I earned all my rewards and ingredients.

Good luck all ya that thought the Mabar stuff was gonna get those nice cloaks and tomes.

It seems Marbar is coming back as some sort of Challenge event.   Joy, 'cause that is one of the most popular things that people like!

Please Turbine, I want to like playing.  Don't screw me again.

We could tell you didn't dupe them. We could tell by how very little you had.

RV - pls don't poke holes in their veil of suspension of disbelief.
We've exposed their real motive, the rest is just sugar coating a turdball.

And every other ingredient (challenges, Winter crap, Cove, Cannith & Raid crafting, etc) that pre-existed Dupapalooza 4 (or was it 5 or 6...)?

Just those confounded Mabar ingredients are the root of all evil because they were tradeable and produced in qtys and you could get a +5 tome (gasp, with the Turdbine introduced power creep, those tomes aren't that great anymore, but they don't play so they wouldn't realize that).  Luckily all those other mats aren't tradeable or were produced in large qtys.

As someone else pointed out, people who duped probably got everything they wanted.  Simply make the old Mabar mats BTA and problem solved - all those "filthy dupers" can't pass them on and innocent players are unaffected.  I'd suggest BTA as all players do need to move them amongst toons on the same account.

OMG - how hard was that to solve the problem AND not frack over your existing player base????

PS - They can change the names automatically, so why not the bind status?
PSS - The acquired items are BTC so there is no way the duped mats can be monetised, so by their own admission only a very small number of players will derive any benefit from duped mats, so who cares?

*shrug*

I spent more time in The Cove than in Maban... mainly due to the 24 people stupid instance and the lag tied to it.
I did avoid the last 2/3 occurence of said Maban...

So, I'm going to go fanboi : great, something new... and some obsolete ingredients that I will be able to throw away to make room for new ones.

But really were you all expecting them to reuse the old ingredients that have been duped to no end ?  Roll Eyes
With the same logic I fully expect Epic Vale to have a full new set of ingredients... that might also replace all the old heroic ones.

The can and have changed unbound items to bound.

The Cloak of Invisibility from Tempest's Spine was unbound before Feather-of-slop added Aug slots to them.

I now have a level 1 loot mule with some bound to it.

New Profitability guide:

1) Allow an Otto's Box dupping exploit to slip out there.  One you can track usage of.

2) Put boxes in the store for the weekend.

3) Profit.

4) Do an inventory purge of duped boxes.  Ban a few egregious offenders.

Yeah, they can do it, and they can also give 3 months notice to give people time to shuffle their gear. Nobody is mistaking them when events aren't running, it was a "heat of the moment" problem.

It would be easy to get a working fix out there that didn't screw innocent players, but then they wouldn't be able to laugh at our pain and feel smugly superior and powerful, so it won't happen.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

Missed that one, while Old Coaly example is a Fail ( old cloak generated before Plume de Soleil changed them didn't become retroactivelly bound, only the new ones became bound ), It's a known fact that they can change everything retroactivelly on a named item if they have the will... I know they have done it in the past... I just forgot on what.
Plume de Soleil  didn't want to dig in the Spaghetti Code, so he never made any change retroactive.

Whether it was intended or not, under Slapnuts Soledad's changes, almost all items changed had their binding status automatically changed.

Prior to his dicking around with the code, players were usually given a choice to use the stone of change for the new version while doing nothing kept the old item. Ex. old epic items kept the old augment slots.

I believe it was the original epic sword of shadow, also all of the shroud resurrection clickies becoming raise dead. Those were the two things that informed everyone that all their previous shit was lies and laziness, not because they couldn't do it.
